  • now i know how to handle pressure both for me and my horse when delling with scary objects.thanks so much for your videos.you give great advise :)

  • Genious to "put pressure on the helicopters"!

  • We have a airport right behind our house and there's always planes jets and helicopters flying over out horses got a little freaked out at first but now there fine with it. :)

  • Hey Rick. Just an honest question. When does the horse get release of pressure? Is it when the reins are relaxed? I was thinking from ur previous sacking out videos that when putting the scary object close, like the killer plastic bag, it needs to be taken away to so the horse gets some release. I know you can't move the helicopters, but would moving a horse away from the scary object then bringing him back by it be the same. Or should I stay next to it relaxed like in this video.

  • @MissKeyKatcher : It depends? The helicopter left so that was release, I put additional pressure on the horse by making him listen so that pressure was controlled and released. It is like asking how does a horse get release from rain or wind or the sun?

  • @horseawareness sorry very broad question. I think was thinking Mr. T needed more release from the helicopters, like being able to walk away from the helicopters and then be brought back to them instead of having constant pressure of standing next to them or would this teach him that its okay to run from his fear. I really don't know, not trying to correct u. I have only had my horse for 9 years and I am finally started to understand. Thanks to Rick Gore horsemanship

  • wow ! amazing job!

  • What a good boy. My horse would of been out of there like a bat out of hell leaving me in his dust.

  • bhaha Mr. T was like "forget this. i'm out!"

  • Get to da choppa!

  • Hey, he did that without tap dancing into the next continent. That's pretty good. :)

    (Stupid horse. Trying to survive.)

  • This is a great one ! outstanding ! Congratulations ! Thanks for all your advice. Regards from Klaus

  • i had fun with mr T scaring the noisy choppers Awesome vid

  • Thnk You =) very helpful!! and you handled and explained that perfectly!

  • @iiHorseFreak : Actually I let Mr. T down. By holding the cam and not holding and giving good direction with both hands, I allowed Mr. T. to bolt away and I had to stop him (correct him) rather then controlling him and giving him good direction with both hands (preventing the bolt). So Mr. T would have got a better lesson if I was paying attention to him and not the cam, but he is a good horse and does not mind teaching the foolish humans. :)
