  • i don't even know what im supposed to here einlan. i just download ggpo, and it's in a folder by itself. i use mame...but i don't understand this.

    wtf?

  • @FugeesTheScore you don't need mame GGPO is like an emulator that you can use online all you need is to download GGPO and the go to its folder make a roms folder and put the rom zip in there dont extract just drag and drop them in there

  • @Psyclone0018

what about setting up ports and such? when i sign in nothing happens it just sits at login screen.

  • @FugeesTheScore you have to sign in duh

jk jk if yuo can sign in make a different account or re install ggpo.

and this video shows you how to open your ports

  • @Psyclone0018

re-install, got it. i will try that.

  • hey what is the dmz and where can i find it plzz yell

  • Thanks XD

  • i get a black screen every time

  • Sorry, do you know if this runs on Windows 7? I've searched google but really couldn't find a definite answer.

  • @Zwietracht

No idea. Just install and try. If not, go under the properties of the .exe and try "XP Compatibility" and see if that does the trick.

  • do u use X{ or vista? XP*

  • @Zwietracht rick click on the icon properties>compatbillity>service pack 3 then apply and exit then open the program should come up with a firewall warning allowing you to give it permission to acces private and public networks im in the process of doing this now i dont know if you still need to open spefic ports but ill find out and pm you

  • Open UDP ports 6000-6009 (inbound/outbound) and TCP port 7000 (outbound) in your home network

    your welcome everyone :)

  • Wow, no shit. And it's "you're".

  • If I don't have Windows firewall on, do I have to worry about all this? My Windows firewall is off.

  • If you have your firewall down, you're good. You may still need to open the ports on your router if you have one. If not, just turn on the DMZ setting for your computer's assigned IP and you're good for ggpo, but not for internet.

  • what is Dmz

  • @grandmisogyny

It's a setting that you should find in your router's GUI. DMZ knocks down the firewall for a specific IP in your network.

  • If I wanted to undo everything I just did, how would I do it?

  • Just go back to whatever you named your ports and re-enable the port.

  • Great choice in music!

  • cant get my controller to work. Microsoft

  • Thanks for sharing this, but man, that music sucks.

  • thank you so much

  • what Nas Track is this?

  • nvmd I got it

  • thug mansion

    scarface,tupac,nas

  • attention everyone, you do not need port 6010, if you have it open just delete it and everything should run smoothly. ;)

  • Where did you hear this?

  • Step 3:

Open UDP ports 6000-6009 (inbound/outbound) and TCP port 7000 (outbound) in your home network. GGPO uses these ports to communicate with the matchmaking server and with other players on the internet.

    ggpo website

  • Thank you Einlanzero12, it helped.

  • You have a good taste in music :]

  • great bro

  • LOL @ the dope nas track for this thanks

  • do you have a video of this but with xp?

  • Nope. Google 'opening ports on Windows XP' ftw.

  • THANKS MAN! NICE TUTO... PEACE!

  • I've tried everything to get this program working. And it keeps freezing on the 'retrieving match data' screen. I've followed your instructions, on the firewall and exceptions screen, 7000 is TCP, 6000-6010 is udp, in the advanced menu I've added two GGPO spots. One has external port 7000 and internal port 6000 under TCP, and the other has external 7000, internal 6001 under udp. Still not working. HELP!

  • Depending on a router (if you use one), you may have to open the ports there as well. Your ISP may also have something to do with it; they will sometimes block certain aspects of you internet.

    Or you're just fucked. . .

  • how i do a server for kuma war 2 open a port? does this work?

  • I'm assuming you're asking 'How do I create a server for Kuma War 2 and open the ports' Hell if I know, but I imagine you would follow the same process.

  • Do i have to do that last thing with the 6000, 6001, 6002 etc?

  • If you want it to work right, yes.

  • ok thanks

  • 5/5
