Well he is on the neck pickup I think, which makes any sweep sound clean... no matter good you are or how much you suck. Either way it was really good.

@unorthodox41 All the Ibanez 7's I have played sucked. The best 7 string guitar I have ever played (I've tried a lot) is the Rusty Cooley RC7. It blows all other guitars, even really great 7 strings like this Loomis guitar, out of the water.

hae man i was just just wondering.. ive always wanted a seven string but ive got relativly normal hand size so would the larger scale? my guitar has jumbo fretts and i can do streches from like 12-15-19.. but im not sure how big the diffrance of scale has.. if you get back to thatd be great thanks..

@imconfusd The 7 string I just ordered has the same scale as my 6 string. THe fretboard is just wider so if your thumb goes around the back of the neck(like me) instead of resting in the middle it will take a little getting used to.

I have small hands for a guy and its not to bad.

This is probably the best 7 string guitar you can find, so if you want one, just take the J.L Sig, it's worth it !

Well I didn't want to pay over 200 euros more just to get the floyd rose. And seriously I don't even use it that much and my RL-600 has a floyd rose. One thing is also that I find it very annoying to change strings to floyd rose guitar :D

Start out slowly and then try to increase the speed. But remember it takes months and months to get it really going. And if you play arpeggios slowly and for example your pinky feels weak and you can't control it you must strenghten it.

I have it. But after getting used to this guitar I really noticed how much better the active pickups sounded. The passive pickup propably works better with Roopes setup but with my amp the actives sound just so much better. Also this guitar has massive sustain.

it's a passive EMG HZ H2. But he sometimes uses active pre-amps in the loop somewhere. If you ask me, Riku's 'roope guitar' tone sounds amazing anyway!
