I had always been under the impression that ALL teachers here in Michigan were part of a union? Unless you work at a private school. I know my cousins are all unionized teachers.
I live in a state where public school teachers are not required to join a union. Some of the districts are unionized and those teachers are usually screwed by it.
I work at UPS and was forced to join the Union when I started. I am not very happy about the representation I have received on ANYTHING.
