  • I have that thing from harbor freight. It works great, and for under 10 dollars, it is a great space saving investment!!

  • thats still too much work, you need to get yourself an electric winch, mount it to the wall where you cleat is, the pass the cable through the pulleys.

    that would be sweeeeeeeeet.

  • @lexam55 - Tying it off to rope cleats with several cleat-hitch knots is just as safe (if not more safe) than the flimsy locking systems on other hoists. The cleats are secured to the wall studs using 3.5 inch deck screws. Read my post on this and you can see that all of the components are over-designed for the weight being handled.
