Amateur Hour ladies and gentlemen! This guy is a terrible trainer, ignore him. You can make the dog juggle and moon walk as long as you have a pocket full of treats on you. They're doing it for food, and you're teaching them a bad habit. The only "treat" your dog should get for obeying orders are a pat on the head and a "good girl or boy". Check out Don Sullivan aka The Dogfather, the BEST trainer ever, not this slave to his dog, "trainer".
@misterphelps So you suggest putting a choak chain on a 8 week old puppy and start yanking the crap out of it to train? It is very obvious you have very little knowledge about dog training. Teaching with food first then enforcing the commands after is best. My dogs will do what I say when I say it asap for me not for food. Once they know what I want the food is gone
You better check out the rest of my videos before you make judgment. Ive seen don Sullivan...old school stuff plain and simple.
@unleashedpotentialK9 Where do I claim or even remotely suggest you should put an 8 week pup on a choke chain and yank the crap out of it? If anyone needs a choke chain and his neck yanked is you, to train you to read carefully. Don employs a pinch collar that administers a small pinch to check the dog's behavior. I've used one and I love my dog and never hurt her. Mothers "pinch" the pups as well, the pinch method is total humane and harmless. How much money and time have you wasted on treats?
@misterphelps His pinch collars Suck just like your attitude. They are not as good as the metal ones made in Germany. I am a certified Master trainer and trained in the use of Pinch collars and e- collars and use them daily not just food. I have studied methods from around the world. This is an 8 week old pup that is learning with food. teaching the dog to use his brain. The other tools come in to play to enforce the obedience when the dog has a foundation. Watch my other videos, you will see.
@unleashedpotentialK9 So you agree pinch collars work. I've used his pinch collars and they work wonderfully. Plastic vs metal is not the issue. It's the system, Don Sullivan works. I've used him so have friends and family: simple and effective. I know people who use food and treats to train and the results are terrible. I don't need to study multiple methods around the world, 60 bucks for the Don Sullivan package and it works. Totally satisfied. Apologies for the digs, but I hate treat training
@misterphelps Pinch collars rock. I have been accused of a big bad pinch collar and e- collar trainer before by treat trainers but this is the first time in my life I have been accused to be a shitty treat trainer. I have studied from some of the best trainers in the world and Don is not one of them. The methods he uses work ok but he is by far not even close to being the best...I Have fixed MANY clients and dogs that used his video and failed. I have seen his video as well as hundreds more.
@unleashedpotentialK9 If you like Pinch collars then you like Don. Transitive property. What else do you do with a pinch collar, not much, so if you're using one then you're probably using Don's techniques or similar to his. And you keep saying "go see my other videos". I have watched them all, they don't show shit. It's your dogs doing tricks, but big deal. Show a video on one of your methods. For example how do you train a dog to sit.
@unleashedpotentialK9 If you don't like Don's method, show a video on how you'd do it. Don't have to show all your methods, just pick one command or two, like sit and down and show how you do it. Then we'll see if you have skills. But look at guys like Cotton ranch and kennel and Miami Dog Training.
@unleashedpotentialK9 They all use Don's method of the jerk of the leash. It's the nipping they got from their mother when young, so you're doing the same thing to them when you correct them. There is no other real way.
i would like to say what a very very nice dog you have there and i think your doing a very good job with it! I have a 7 month german shepherd and am finding it hard to train, could you please give me some tips. i find it hard to feed because it always refuses :D
hi , i have a 10 and a haldf month rottie, hes a big dork ..anyways..he knows the basics, come, sit, heel, pin, inside, tell me, and watch em,, but what else could you tell me about teaching ?? im very interested in knowing all i can to make him a happier dog
I just got a 8 week old puppy and would like to start training her obedience. Where do I start? Can you give me some info on what have you used as far as material (books) to train your puppy? Thank you

i have a doberman(male) he's about 5-6 months it's too late to train him and if it's not how can i a simple 17 student train him ?
nikolios6 1 year ago
@nikolios6 No it is not to late, a good start would be to make him work for every piece of his food daily. thats 60 to 120 reps of obedience daily.
