Indeed there were some aspects of the show that were computerized (footprints leading to Bird's Nest) however, the footprints inside the stadium were actual. The Chinese did not have the intention to trick the world in thinking that the fireworks weren't real, they just made animation real like. They also admitted that it was computerized made to look real "..mission accomplished". However, i strongly believe that Yang Peiyi deserves credit for her singing (i.e. closing ceremony mayb?)
