I was there today, those been vacant for over 5 years... however, the strip down the road is packed. Go down rainbow and 215, its packed and grew fast since 2003.
@charlesfuchs --I agree they have been vacant for a long time, many of them since they were built. Even when you go down to rainbow/215 they have struggled to get tenants in some of those places. Where the Mc Donalds now sits just south of 215, that building sat half finished for a couple years, the one immediately next to it is had the same problem and is now being turned into a Egg Works diner. Go over to Tenaya/Warm Springs, so much of that warehouse space is vacant it is amazing.
Las Vegas has always been able to thrive without commercial diversification. But times have changed, other countries and other states now have gambling and much more luxurious resorts than Las Vegas has to offer and at a much cheaper cost.
keep em coming...it's interesting whats going to happen to Vegas.... as far as I can tell it has a lack of productivity like arable land, oil and gas and major industry....
