Not every person granted. But the odds are very much in favor that the person you seeing is fat because they chose to be. Again, we go back to what I said about the majority of fat people being fat because of choices the made, not because of something they have no control over.
Not all, but as I mentioning in my original post most are. 20-30 years ago we didn't have as many overweight people as we do today. I don't think that in a 20 year span 9 out out every 10 fat persons in this country all came down with some condition that kept them from losing weight. I do think it has more to do with the food people *choose* to eat and the amount they *choose* to eat.
I can judge them because at one point I weighed about 235 pounds and I'm 5'11". Weight gain was one of the side effects of the steroid-based anti-inflammatory medications I was on for my back. But I was smart enough to see a problem with the weight gain. Practiced some self control, took personal responsibility (re: made an effort not eat as much), and in nine months I was back down to a more reasonable 180 pounds. So yes, I've been through it and yes, it's preventable and reversible..
Do you honestly think that the majority of fat people are fat because of a disability? I'll be generous and say that maybe 10% of the obese are fat because of disability/medication. The other 90% are fat because the lack self control. But once they get fat then the problems with bad knees, back problems,etc. show up. But their lack of self control in the first place the primary contributor.

Well, I would have to question the jock thing. I played baseball and football growing up and in high school, and I'm a software developer now. A lot of "jocks" just don't care to put the time in on their schoolwork.
