UNESCO is a western invention. Remember, there was no UNESCO as an organization when the League of Nations was around. It only came after the United Nations was established in the 1940s. The organization had a chance to go to many places but it decided to stay in the UN, for a variety of political reasons. We have to get to a point where UNESCO is not a threat to the UN.
