I was 2 at the time but i remember the naval casualties coming to our home early in the morning to tell me and my Mother that the day before my father had died(sept 23rd 2003) All I have of my father is pictures, videos , and stories that my mother shares with me from time to time. I love her because she doesn't compromise her gift. Her soul shines through her music and that is what attracts me to her. Yes she is underrated, but I say this, mainstream seems to strip the soul away from truly good music. For true music lovers, we appreciate and recognize what an amazing gift she had....

Like i said in the last video.....there are very few songs that have ever made me cry or get teary eyed from....and this is one of em.......gets me everytime too....i can just envision something like this happening to me and my future wife telling my kids about me......I love you India....powerful song....one of my all-time favorites!

My cousin stood over her husbands coffin at his funeral and sang this song to him. It was one of the most beautiful and moving things I have seen at a funeral. She concluded it by singing to her child. The strength, power, and love she exhibited was inspirational and heart breaking at the same time. Her love for him came out so strong in the lyrics as she sang the words that he would say to her. BE Strong Eboni!!

@mzndrsn I understand! My fiance used to play this for me and sing this to me all the time! He passed away 3 years ago and I just found his kids(my stepkids). I listen to this and think of him, through tears. Your cuz is a trooper and can handle anything. I'm inspired by her strength and eternal love for a Good Man. She's one hell of a woman and I'd love to have her as a friend.

I personally don't believe in God, but I respect those that do (I'm agnostic, not atheist! but I support all faiths and beliefs, regardless of what they are, as long as you don't try to force me to believe something that I don't quite believe in, yet.) She is a very good singer, and this is the first song of hers that I have ever heard. But even so, I believe that she has a talent that needs to be appreciated. This is her calling, so lets all support her to the best of our abilities!
