I have question about life.

I want to be an author when i grow up, but I'm kind of stressing about what life will be like immediately out of college. How do you pay the bills before you've gotten a publisher to look at your book? I know they give advances, but is that enough to survive on for however many months you struggle finishing your book? What did you do? Did you have other jobs while you wrote?

@LiliPwnz Well John himself had always ambitioned to be a young adult writer out of college, but he stated in a separate video that his first book was constructed in free time, his job at that same time was a writer/editor of a literature-based magazine. His book took super revising, help from many people, and he needed someone to give him a chance to make it work. In summation, writing cannot begin as something to be sustained by, it has to begin as something that you want to do. Hope it helps

@LiliPwnz He worked at Booklist magazine and as a chaplain in a children's hospital. I think the best thing to do is to just try to get jobs that interest you or that will help you in your writing, and then continue to write.

You should have been more explicit in the title. I spent ages procrastinating about watching and playing this Truth or Fail because I thought it revealed story information about your books which I haven't yet read and am hoping to read in the future.

What if you guys featured Nerdfighters? Like once a month or something, you'd feature the top 10 really awesome Nerdfighters. They could be chosen if they'd done something to decrease world suck. You could announce them in one/both of your videos. This way, more people would be motivated to go out and DO something.I know that the Nerdfighters are amazing, but sometimes I find myself lacking motivation.

It's a decent idea, but I have to disagree (you probably weren't asking me. Oh well.) To me, nerdfighteria is one of the few places where it isn't a contest to be the best at something or the most popular. I'd hate to see that changed. I feel like if that happened, being a Nerdfighter would become being about trying to get on that top 10 list. And that would just not make me happy :(
