I see you had haven't been to Chicago back in the day and the last great club in NYC was the Octagon which was like the Garage. i use to party at the Garage the Saint, Peter Rabbits, Nickel Bar and I also partied in Chicago back in the day at th Muzic Box, LeRay's, Power Plant. And outta the two cities Chicago was better in terms of music selection and style.
