  • when I fall my legs are flopping all around.... that would be impossible

  • I usually fall so hard that I fall out of my chair completely, so I have to crawl to my chair, upright it, then crawl in. Then my hip gets caught on my cushion and tugs on my pants. I'd love for her to demonstrate that rather than tucking her legs under the chair to keep her bum from sliding out. I'm glad I'm not the only one who would love to pop her in the face.

  • If/When I fall, it's never on a flat tiled floor like that, it's usually somewhere with a curb, grassy hill, or big freakin hole

  • She's using her feet to grip!!!

  • This technique seems odd to me. If she were paralyzed her legs would end up in her face, or be flapping around. Mine would.(T12) If you got this much strength, why not just set the chair upright then transfer back from there? That's what I would do.

  • thats b.s.

  • Most men with a lower level injury should be able to easily do this. Women generally do not have the upper body strength. My ex girlfriend who is an L3-4 could, but it was a few months after her injury once she had conditioned her upper body muscles.

  • how in the world did u do that lets be friends k ? michael

  • If you dont have muscular activity below your chest, thats pretty hard to do.

  • She is strong and she is thin and being able to twist and turn. It's wonderful for her but not suitable for my child who has arm control problem

  • I am in a wheelchair i have accident in my work is good work

  • you can tell she is not paralyzed and she is using her hip and legs for weight distribution. It sooooooo much harder when it is complete dead weight, tho not impossible by any means. I just hate when PTs do this stuff and act like it should be as easy for us. Give them epidurals so the can't feel thier legs, then let em try! ;)

  • she ight be paralyzed and worked until she regained use of her hips.

  • @ars9x I have a high level thoracic spinal cord injury so have no motor control or sensation below my chest and I used to be able do exactly what she just demonstrated. Could also get from the floor to my chair Sadly no longer though.

  • You know anybody can do that if they really wanted to. It dosn't mean it would be easy, butif you weren't strong enough everybody can do work outs to get stromg enough, so don't ever lower your expectations for yourself no matter if you're a completeley independent person, or a completeley ependent person.

  • @jesusfreak2494 some people will never be able to develop the strength needed to do that. Don't generalise. It depends on the disability/injury and some other factors.

  • Not everyone has TALENT. I think she's awsome!

  • am a c5,6 quad myself for 12 yrs., if she's a para its possible

  • i'm in a chair , and wether or not that lady is disabled does not matter one bit ! if i can do that ,awesome if i can't well maybe i could practice it !! you guy's all need to stop being a whiny bunch of gimps and get on with life !! omg !! nothing better to do than bitch about anything and everything !!

  • easy to do when you have tight muscles working which the majority don't.

  • i can do that...t12...it's technique...

  • I noticed her leg muscles kicking in, if I had leg muscles kicking in like that, I wouldn't need a chair.

  • thats not true, i need my wheelchair, but i can take a few steps.

  • dude that not funny i wish i could do that lol i been in a wheelchair all my lfie i stil cant do that i can do everything else but get back in my chair lol

  • It would really piss me off every time one of my therapist would show me something and say, -See how easy it is.. Im not sure what one of those injections the doctors give to women so they won't feel pain giving birth and it also does not allow them to move half of their body..Give her one of those shots and then make another video of her demostraiting the procedure..??????

  • She isn't disabled, but an occupational therapist at the rehab I went to. These videos were on that website showing some different techniques etc. They were found a long time ago and put on youtube by some devotee and that's how they ended up here. They weren't meant to do anything but show how things are done.

  • All this seems very funny to some folk, but as you and I know it can lead to months concussion in hospital. I don't have the strength for such Herculean escapades. Anti-tip wheels help a lot when all else fails.

  • I agree with sunnycorolla, she is not disabled. Watch Sunnycorolla do it,without the benefit of clinging to the chair with AB legs. Anyone that can do this, that is actually disabled easily has the strength to climb stairs the way I do.

  • You are not the disabled.

  • Neither are any of the people in one of your favorite videos

They are ALL pretenders. If you watch the rest of his videos you will find out. They go out into public and pretend to be disabled and some of them want to have a spinal cord injury.

  • Wow, what a retard

  • This women does an excellent job of demonstrating a difficult technique. The comment from AdeptUI does an excellent job of demonstrating that he is the fool. My question to AdeptUI is "what can you do, besides make ignorant comments?

  • I'm in a wheel chair and I humbly agree with adeptui because that fat bitch isn't disabled and therefore not able to give me any "tip" on how to do jack shit
