  • A very under rated and excellent song by The Turtles!

  • 0:46 Love that shot of Don Murray looking so cool, so gorgeous, and yes, so completely wasted as he pretends to play the drums (you can see throughout the video that he's only pretending to play).

  • @harrietcow actually he's playing just not hitting the kit or possibly not hitting the kit very hard probably due to live mikes on the set. I've been playing since 1972 and what he is playing is actually the correct drum pattern.

  • @revup67 Right, that's what I meant- his sticks aren't touching the drums at all. He's hitting nothing but air. :-)

  • @harrietcow Of course he was cool....he was the only guy in the band who was a real surfer!

  • Once the Turtles packed up their gear and left, these kids broke out the dope and had an orgy.

  • old but gold xD

  • Groovy tune.

    R.I.P. Don Murray.(d. 1996)

  • Voor alle Nederlanders, Adriaan vooraan xD 0:17

  • i couldnt figure why the guy at the back had a mohican, til he moved and it was a pineapple behind him,

  • 1:17 looks like punk style jajaja

  • HA! I just turn in all these punks in to their local draft board...

  • at 1:48 the guy looks like he has a mohawk the red jacket guy

  • Like, Groovy Man! I never saw so many squares in the audience since....lol.

  • Wow, they look like a 60's band playing for a 50's audience.

  • Great '60s sound here.

Good post! When everybody thinks of the Turtles, it's Happy Together. That is my least favorite by them. lol

  • 0:45

  • It seems a psychedelic sound, no?

  • its the dude from chips!!!

  • This is like a group featured on a segment of All in the Family being mysteriously transported to the set of Ozzie and Harriet, or worse yet, Bachelor Father. Great sound with a B - D movie cast.

  • There's this british band from 1990 called Ride that took this guitar and rhythm riff for an excellent song "Seagull"... I love this Turtle song, I only wish it would never appear in such bad movies from mid-sixties, there are really cool songs where you cannot imagine...

  • wow tv has come a long way #LOL

  • @roima7 yet still so pointless....and unfunctional....but it does have its moments (pictured here)

  • Going to see them on Thursday free outdoor concert, along with Mickey Dolenz, Mark Lindsey, and the Beach Boys!

  • have you ever realized that they never show the rhythm guitarist?

  • @mrmama456 nuh uh you can totally see him for like 2 seconds at 1:09.....before they literally move the camera just over enough to hide him again

  • shit

  • WOW!! I am going to see The Turtles this Sunday 5-23-10 and this video was made the year I was born ;-D ,( but i still dont feel old :P )

  • GROOVY BABY!!! I love that guitar sound and the haunting vocals.

Today's music is so poor. I'm glad these videos remain. More please.

  • So intense melody!

  • @Nokorola I know it is lol 0:39 :D

  • Yeah, they shoulda had some drugged out Obama Commies to listen to it, eh!

  • Define fat? And Tambourine is one of the greatest percussion instruments ever invented.

  • That's not spiked hair, that's just a plant behind his head. He's got a buzz cut.

  • haha, I thought that too... it's one of those crazy illusions though! Or maybe dude was the first "punk" ever?

  • 1:16 Check the guy in red, spiked hair in 1966?

  • All you older cat's look at these young actors 0:25 bottom right Emilio Estevez

0:33 Bottom Bill Bixby " Incredible Hulk"

  • hey there. maybe you know something i don't. however, Emilio Estevez was born in 62, so he'd be 4 or so here, and Bixby had a hit show from 63-66 in "my favorite martian" and that doesn't look like him really. maybe you're just having some fun? the turtles are awesome.

  • john66

    You Right!!

    I was just having fun!!

  • Bixby will always be the Father in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" for me lol... Yeah, I'm a 70's kid haha..

Ms. livingston and ABC productions were cool

  • Ohh yes I really ment to say Courtship of Eddies father but you know !! I thought Eddie of courtship and Eddie of the Munsters were the same person

I saw grampa Al Lewis 1999 before he died at a halloween party / showing he was great also..

  • JACK BLACK!...................

  • Is this the B side of Grim Reaper of Love?

  • Awesome dance at 0:39

  • yeah, its called the "one hand beer dance"

  • wow i just noticed that, so funny

  • Note the young Ronald Reagan in the front row, grooving--and seemingly hypnotized--by the mysterious hippie melodies.

  • I need to find mp3 version of this song...

Can anybody help me ? :-)

  • du très grand TURTLES .....encore bravo pour ce doc .

  • This group was so underrated

  • This is my favorite Turtle Song.

  • this is one of my favorite turtle songs

  • At 1:22, there is a guy standing in front of a plant. But when you first see him, it looks like he has a mohawk hairdo or something.

  • yeah, a mohican :) punks were there already!

  • 12 string rickenbacker ... trippy.

  • This is from movie "Out of Sight," kinda a beach/music spoof of James Bond movies. Also had Dobie Gray, the Astronauts,Knickerbockers, Freddie and the dreamers.

  • who's on the drums in this song?

  • The drummer is Don Murray , who unfortunetly passed away in 1996

  • who else passed away just recently???anyone knows???

  • I give up, who ??

  • me too, that's why I have asked this question since I thought someone mentioned about a member of the Turtles passed away back this passed fall of 08......

  • Mike Smith of the Dave Clark 5 passed away in Feb. 2008 , maybe they were talking about him ?

  • thanks for your message partner. probably thats it

  • Mitch Mitchell drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience died this past November of 08. I believe 11/12/08 to be exact.

  • Huh, So She"ll come back was about he/she dying in 2008?

  • NO, the comment was made in response to someone who heard that a rock musician had passed away recently, and wanted to know if anyone knew who they were talking about.

  • I really love the melody, and it is really complimented with that jangly guitar psychedelic folk pop sound. This is what a true garage band should sound like.

  • notice at the 117 mark of this video, you notice a red shirted guy at the top with a very early pre-spike era look. WHAT AN INNOVATOR!!

  • Hey, famous....look again....that ain't no spike job hairstyle....keep watching the clip....you'll see.

  • Very cool, what movie is this from?

  • Out of Sight

  • Love it - thanks for sharing.

  • LOVE IT MY FAVORITE

  • What a hip crowd!

  • I just love it! The Dodge Dart Era knew some of the best music and Flo & Eddie do not disappoint. 1966 was a banner year for good music and this is such a treat!

  • this looks like a clip from a movie.

  • this is reely good actually....love the guitar motif

  • Holy Shit. Wow i didnt think The Turtles were that good! Lol Mark volman haha first shot of him i laughed and i didnt even reconize howard!!! MIND BLOWING!!! THANK YOU!

  • Thanks my typo - the movie was in fact from 1966. Surprisingly Don is shown quite a bit in this clip. I spoke with Flo & Eddie over the summer and they did not recall doing this song in this film.

  • Hey thanks for sending me this vid. I HATE the turtles but i LOVE this tune. Later

  • @revup67 LOL. Does that surprise you or anyone else? They are such funny guys though

  • @Planktontwo- hi Lyndon! Ron

  • This clip is actually from early 1966. If it were from 1967, you'd see Johnny Barbatta on drums instead of Don Murray.
