I love this make up! The brush is very soft & on my oily, medium skin, it gives GREAT coverage. Just make sure not to put it on hard cuz then it still be harder to blend. Use a soft touch & that works better(:
@saracanda Yes! I've had moderate to severe acne for about 6 years now, and have been on a hunt for the perfect foundation since then! This foundation has helped my skin sooooo much! instead of using liquid + concealer + powder, I just use one product! Since I have quite severe scarring, I'll apply it a second time to conceal those. I've been breaking out a lot less lately, and I'm positive it's because of using this amazing make up. much better than bareminerals!
I've seen several bad reviews over this product and I love it! I've repurchased this so many times as a matter of fact I got a new one today! perfect to wear If your not allowed to wear make-up to school which is the rule for my school and I get away with it! Lovely coverage, you can use it to set a tinted moisturizer as well for a natural face!
@nanodae i have this product and it works extremely well the coverage is absolutely gret for me every tim i get any blemishes or redness it covers it right up! it's like my holy grail make up, it could get a bit cakey but you could lightly dampen it to get the extra cakyness off.
Honestly, I LOVE the brush and the fibers are super soft on mine.. but when I put it on it WILL NOT blend.. even using a foundation brush from MAC, nothing really helps blend it on my face. I find my face looks extremly muddy looking.
How much coverage does this give? I have alot of acne scars left from 4 years of acne and I was curious to know if it covers scars, since this will be my first ever foundation, I heard mineral was good for acne scars/oily skin.
i have the same product. one thing i don't like are the fibres on the brush. they are way to rough, and i feel like there ruining the soft texture of my skin. so i just use my own brush
I'm thinking about getting this foundation, but I don't know what shade I am 0.0 so, I'm pretty light skin toned, but is there like a test where I can find out?, how did you find out?
i love ur accent and ur hair.. u're gorgeous i... don't mean to be creepy i'm a girl and it's meant as a complement .. keep letting ur inner beauty shine
You are adorable!! Thank you so much for this! It was very entertaining AND helpful. I appreciated the complete review of the packaging and actual use(s). Keep up the good work.
i like this better than the bare minerals because i can build up coverage and it doesnt make my face shiny like bare minerals and i get great coverage. ive been using mine everyday since i got it which is a long time its been a few years.
Heyy wow your stunninngg :) I bought true match foundation W8 and i have the same skin tone as you, Is w8 too dark for me? :( And im thinking of buying the true match concealer and kohl liquid,? is it good
cute, asian girl with brit accent. loreal should pay you for this. i bought the darn thing and was very skeptical about it so I almost returned. i guess i'll use it now lol.
@piggyloves I have SUPER oou just apply a oily skin(My face looks SO oily in the tzone around 3 hours after application) but I found a trick online that pretty much saved my life :D Its called Milk Of Magnesia. You can buy it at Shoppers Drug mart, its a laxative thats originally used to soak up oil in your stomach or something like that. You just apply a thin layer before your makeup, prime your face foundation and Im oil free for hours and hours :D (Even with this foundation :)
I have been using this for the last 2 or 3 months and still haven't run out. And I would highly recommend that people just use a kabuki brush instead of the brush that comes with it.
the top without the brush does go on. I just bought it and was thinkin now that i have it how da hell do I use it, i put the wrong top on it clicked and then I couldnt get it off. I managed to yank it off after 5 minutes and some of the powder flew all over me :/
you could use this product for three things at once? How?? Can you please show an application for all three if I wanted to use all three applications together.
@amyinchrist no, you can't use it for 3 things at once. there are just three ways i use the product. you don't need to set powder foundation with more powder foundation lol
Thank you for doing this review :) I wanted a setting powder and we have a 25% off sale on L'Oreal Stuff right now, so I thought about getting it and I really think, I will buy it :) Great review.
You seem to be a very sweet girl, and I looooove your accent! :D
The comparison is that its a really big pot so that its annoying to carry around. It may not fit in all makeup bags and takes up a lot of space. An eyeshadow brush is a common thing that most people who would buy this product have and therefore are able to see a clear size comparison.
i use this product everyday i really like it. the only thing that i disliked about it was the inconvenient packaging and that at the end of the day my t zone was kind of oily.
also the brush is terrible and irritates my skin a bit and is a little rough.i use my own kabuki brush.
the product itself though, its really good, really blendable and it lasts.
thanks so much for this review, i looked everwhere for a good review on this so I know if I should try it and yours definitly had the most info. :-) Thanks for helping me pick a mineral foundation to try :-)
i went looking for a mineral powder. and ended up getting Cover Girl trublend minerals in colour 410. it's alot nicer i think than this one its about the size of 2 pressed powers and comes with a puff in steed of a brush ( so i use my own) however the puff keeps all the product from sifting through. do recommend tho for a loose powder!
I agree-use a seperate kabuki brush to apply as the one provided feels rather rough and is kinda small. otherwise I love this product and medium coverage it offers, I find it comfortably lasts for 12 hours with mac's prep n prime on my incredibly oily skin! The staying power also improves when you use the loreal soft focus mineral finish
Also to avoid the excess fallout u mentioned when the priduct is rolling around in your bag, just trim a cotton pad to fit inside, and voila! problem solved
hi! i just bought the minerals powder today and ive been using true match super-blendable 2 way powder foundation for months. i need to ask you, which one should i apply first? the 2 way powder foundation or the minerals? :)
I love your review. Today i was in a drugstore and tested the lightest shade but it was bit orange so i´m not sure if i will buy it. Does it cover pimples good?
hmmm...i think the covergirl trublend micromineral powder works better and its packaging is a lot better too because theres a lid for the mineral powder and the brush clips at the top...also, its smaller but longer so i like it a lot more than the l'oreal product but thats my opinion :)
lol...it's a really good product. By the way it says it's an actual foundation on the bottom of the bottle, on the little sticker thingy, but sure it should be good to use as a something else besides just that. :3
i used this a long time ago(i used it as a foundation) and it seemed to make me look really pale....maybe its just the lighting in my bathroom....but i try new things everytime i run out
hi, i really like ur review for the product each week. I have a question though. I have a really oily skin and that's why i gets break out a lot. So i wonder if this product is good for oily skin? And does it cause break out?
Because this is an oil-free powder, its great for oily skin and shouldn't break you out. It will help to blot excess oils and mattify your face as well! Hope it works for you, sweets!
It does work for dry skin, you just need to make sure your skin is hydrated beforehand using a good moisturiser. Not too sure about covering vains but the coverage is medium to full I'd say. Concentrate more of the mineral foundation on your vein using a concealer/blender brush :)
Sure :P You caught me on a reply day!! No, the minerals won't clump on your skin at all!! Just make sure the moisturiser is settled into your skin before you apply :) But also, if you find it does, then you just need to buff it more!
hi, in malaysia we hv colour ranges in apricot ivory, nude vanilla, nude ivory, honey glow, and golden beige. i hv trouble picking the right colour.. i'm chinese
Well, you just need to test them to see which colour suits you best. There is no other way really! Apply a small amount to your jaw line and buff it in. The colour that you can't see is the right one!
I've been using Bare Minerals and like the coverage, but I think I'm allergic too the bismuth oxide in it. Do you know if the Loreal mineral powder has this ingredient in it? I'm looking for an alternative to Bare Minerals!
Hmm it has bismuth oxychloride and iron oxides but not "bismuth oxide" so it might be safe for you! Not sure, maybe go to the store and try a tester?? Hope this helps...
I bought this product about six months ago and its still not run out, and I use it practically every day. I find it pretty much stays and it hasnt irritated my skin at all. The only problem I find is that the brush is really rough, so I'd use another with it. But I'd definately buy it again!
could you try the mabaline dream matt mouse foundation because i have heard that it is very good and i was wondering what your views on the foundation were.
I've tried that foundation before and I really liked it at first. The mousse effect felt so light and I even finished one whole pot and bought another but then I realised it didn't give me the coverage I wanted and that it was really drying on my skin. Don't think I'll be using it again... sorry! x
I love this foundation, Ive been using it for over a year now.. its so light which is why i only use mineral powder foundation, i hate using liquids etc! - I dont like the brush, it makes me blotchy =S. Its around £13.99 from boots i think.. abit too expensive which is why ive started to get mine of ebay for around £7 ! Great video :) xx
Im like you, i never carry foundation with me when im out. Great review i might have a look at this as a finishing powder because im kind of getting bored of the Mac MSF Natural xox
This is a great review - I've used this as a foundation in the past and found it comparable to much more expensive brands (Bare Minerals etc) - It lasts really well too x
thank you so much for this review! i was thinking of trying this mineral foundation after my maybelline one kinda turned orange on me after a while o_o
after watching this review, im excited to buy this, i love loreal foundations so this should be really good. My only question is how much is it and where would you be able to get the most reasonable price for it???
Hehe! Yay LOreal Foundations!! Its above £10 and you can get it in Boots. I'm not sure where is the best place to get it though. At least in Boots you can swatch to match your skin :) x
Out of mineral foundations available in the UK, I have only tried Revlon and Maybelline. I liked Maybelline, when put on in the morning, it lasted pretty much the whole day (on moisturized skin, but without a primer) and the lightest (I think) shade was just perfect for my skin tone. I hated the Revlon, though. Firstly, it didn't stay long. The concept was similar to L'Oreal that you've reviewed, it had a brush attached to it. It shed like crazy!
sooo nice video (and bloopers also!!!, whats this word? ,im soo strange!!! xaxa).oh i have seen the same packaging from lorea'l as a blush also accept of mineral powder!! bb O__o =D
I love this make up! The brush is very soft & on my oily, medium skin, it gives GREAT coverage. Just make sure not to put it on hard cuz then it still be harder to blend. Use a soft touch & that works better(:

Hmm it has bismuth oxychloride and iron oxides but not "bismuth oxide" so it might be safe for you! Not sure, maybe go to the store and try a tester?? Hope this helps...

I bought this product about six months ago and its still not run out, and I use it practically every day. I find it pretty much stays and it hasnt irritated my skin at all. The only problem I find is that the brush is really rough, so I'd use another with it. But I'd definately buy it again!

Im just using powder to get a mat finish, but I would like something to cover more.
Does this feel like a powder, or "real" foundation ? :)
xIsbel 2 years ago
could you try the mabaline dream matt mouse foundation because i have heard that it is very good and i was wondering what your views on the foundation were.
Btw great vid

This is a great review - I've used this as a foundation in the past and found it comparable to much more expensive brands (Bare Minerals etc) - It lasts really well too x

It shed like crazy!
laitae 2 years ago
Haha oh dear!! Well, this brush doesn't shed at all but I hate cleaning it! So difficult!!! LOL Might check out the Maybelline :) x
