  • 3:00 - 5:35 is my fav part! It's got that underwater and Atlantis feeling doesn't it? Truly, amazing :)

  • I think this was the only good that came out of cata imo.

  • Yes

  • Hate the place with a passion love the music

  • Anyone else reminded of Banjo Kazooie?

  • YES! I loved that area! That giant angler fish was so hard to beat!

  • @Xcyper33 From 3:00 onwards that's the first thing that crossed my mind!

  • I thought I would hate this zone, but it ended up being my favorite of the new zones in cata.

  • This music was by far my fav from cata during the time that i played. but im glad to be not playing anymore. freed up a lot of my time.

  • And then Blizz decided that this zone was too much work and abandoned its storyline completely. Good job people who bitched about it. :|

  • at first I didn't like it and I was wondering how to escape, but as I kept doing more quests I was like"wow'!! what an amazing place! I wanna do more!! the battlemaiden quests was a lot of fun too :)

  • I hate this place.

  • @Creebe stfu

  • There's something very strange about Vashj'i. It's so mysterious and beautiful... I can't describe it. It somehow makes me feel... at home? Hmm, Maybe it's because I'm an Aquarius. Anyway, this music really embodies the beauty of the zone.

  • this zone...and this music...is what made me fall in love with cataclysm when it first came out...i just love detail blizzard put in this zone....if theres anyone out there who hasnt done the quests in this zone....i highly recommend that you do

  • great for skinners, and stoners alike :)

  • @spicytauren Haha I was about to come up with a herbalism/stoner joke there but I'm too stoned. Seriously though, this song nearly pulls me back in to WoW every time I hear it.

  • Everyone told me to go to Hyjal.

    Did Vashj'ir instead ^.^

  • @OverlordMD i did it too, and found it better after seeing hyjal :)

  • 3:08 changed my life..

    ^_^

  • This music makes me feel like commiting suicide

  • Took a while to find, but if you wanna make a macro for it:

    /script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\cataclysm\\MUS_Vashjir_GU03.mp3")

    The epic part :D

  • This reminds me far too much about the release of Cataclysm. The night where I spent half my time doing these quests. :) Lovely memories after it and still enjoying the game.

  • In my opinion, this zone is the only good thing about Cataclysm. The feeling your being chased by something all the time, and having to glance behind you, and in those little sanctuary caves, feeling all safe and cosy from the horrors outside in the deeps. I liked Cataclysm at first in this zone, and had high hopes, the other zones were ok, but as soon as i hit 85, i was bored very soon and now i miss old wow terrible.

  • I love it wet. ;]

  • Vashj'ir did the same thing to me as the Storm Peaks in the expansion before it. All hopped up on energy drinks late at night soon after release, I was truly immerse in the quests.

It just felt so surreal. Youre on a boat going to war, and the next thing you know youre riding a seahorse. Same as stormpeaks where youre saving some goblins, and then suddently youre in the lesbian-olympics. What a trip wow can be ^.^

  • @Qyburnator omg same feeling :3

  • great quest are and @Freakylittlethingy: thumbs up if you raided the bastard for snearking up on you^^

  • basically listened this none stop while leveling

  • from the depths I come

  • yeah this zone was my fav in cata.

  • @morrowind750 Mine too.

  • UNDAAAAA DAH SEAAAA!!!

  • @drpeppa2357 Suprised this doesn't have more thumbs up.. Not this but the comment i'm replying to. Anyone care to help fix that, besides me?

  • @ first , it was amazing to quest there

@ second , it was hmmm ok

@ third , i told myself wtf is wrong with mount hyjal ? now.... quited wow

  • When I first played Cata, I came here. I LOVED it. The rest of the zones just disappointed me.

  • @shrony125 same here. Except for Uldum, that was awesome too.

  • I love listening to this music while I do homework, I am generally distracted by music with lyrics when doing homework, but when I listen to WoW music I just get all focused (and sometimes think of some great memories from the game :D )

  • This is just...I have no words. I LOVE World of warcraft soundtrack, all of it! It's so well-written. The best thing about is that it contains so many memories! Haven't we all listened to the original WoW-soundtrack back in Pre-TBC and thought: yeah...that was some good ol'times!

  • did it just loop? I think it loops.

  • lol I pound this in my system while pulling up to school, you should see the looks:)

  • @AllyMind5Star

Without originality on "Other races", or even humans, things like horror, fantasy, and sci-fi wouldn't exist. So. Yeah, at some point there was originality. Yes, some of it was based on myths, but even then you can't say that the people who originally made dwarves as a mythos copied from someone, so eventually there was originality. Maybe a long time ago in some cases, but there was.

  • lol this great music to listen too when baked

  • @TheHookahDude Yeah and its even better when your tripping, but pro tip: avoid scary zone music when your on something stronger than weed

  • On of the best quest areas ever :D

  • @KevKevert Agreed.

  • @KevKevert Thank you! Everyone I ask says they hate it. D:

  • @Bloodofviolence Haha, I liked the storyline very much. I also got nice gear from the quests here and you get an epic mount =D

  • @KevKevert on of the best que arenas ever :D i thought ur comment said that XD

  • nice one buddy

  • @Tempdoom

I like originality too, I can tell you where to find some, wanna hear it?

Go back in time 50 years.

Sure, you can tweek ideas, but everything is a COPY of something now, people just love to claim "originality" as their lack of interest in something. If you don't like underwater levels, fine. Admit that. But don't claim originality as a reason.

  • @Wonocva15 There's no such thing as originality when it comes to humanity or any other race. There never has been.

  • this was the music that played, when early life startet in the ocean, long long ago....

  • Can't wait to get here with my mage..

  • It really captures the hopelessness of drowning in an enormous sea, amazing work :D

  • best ever

  • best zone

  • I want to live underwater now.

  • the only good thing about cataclysm is this zone...

  • im stoned

  • @boneyoak Stoned + Wow music = good times.

  • @boneyoak i love to get messy and listen to this while questing haha

  • @boneyoak you have to be to play this game

  • Most beautiful zone introduced with Cataclysm, it's a bit of a shame Blizzard didn't do more with this underwater zone in terms of dungeons but regardless this vibrant zone had absolutely fantastic quests. Oddly enough i got a slight sense of claustrophobia the few times I've leveled through here.

  • @Followthategg Actually I heard in the upcoming patch, blizz is introducing a new dungeon for Vash'jr :3

  • @Lich137 nope

  • @Followthategg I felt the opposite of Claustrophobia

  • Description Police:Your arrested!

  • good music, but it kinda creeps me off

  • OMG, Theme from Vashj'ir is so good!

  • Agreed, best place by far and the music is great. Very atmospheric place.

  • @TomTron72 UNDAH DA SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • From hells heart, I STAB AT THEE!

  • Sounds like Nemo's soundtrack! :D

  • When I look at the description...

Sounds like... I don't even wanna know

  • i'm gonna be honest, this songs is scary... specially when you're camping for ghostcrawler and that raid boss suddenly appears in front of you, without any warning.

  • @mukiranah hahaha dude i feel u :D.. got it myself

  • 2:58 :D

  • this is so epic....when youre riddin a seahorse in the wide open sea, heading towards the ruins of vashj'ir from bielaran ridge, where you can see the massive cliff on the other side~ The ruins get larger and larger, but it seems u'll never reach it

  • 3 people fell victim to the whale shark

  • this music reminds me of Borderlands!

  • @TomTron72 It's a reference to the Little Mermaid, though Vashj'ir is FAR from happy go lucky.

  • 3 people are earthen ring.

  • why isn't whole song included on official cata soundtrack and where can i get full song?

  • i... hate... VASH >:O

  • @denmarkkingV2 kind of like in Megashark vs. Giant Octopus?

  • i never liked to fly over this reef.... always wondering when a shark will eat me

  • Thumbs up if whale shark sneaked up behind you!

  • This place... I have no words.. Perfection... It was probably the best 2 days of levelling EVER.

  • The main melody part is kind of similar to 'Atlantis' from Banjo Tooie.

  • make the naga as a playable race xD god please !!!

  • @kritzel789 naga and murlocs :)

  • 3 people are Budd.

  • Vash'jr is the most beautiful place of Cataclysm. Sadly none of the WoW Players agree with me. Love underwater places.

  • @wildcardcast As a WoW player, I totally agree with you.

  • @wildcardcast i do believe those wow players are missing something called "IQ". I love this place too! Both the music and the environment!

  • @wildcardcast everybody hates vashj'ir, while i think this zone is pure beauty

  • 3 people are naga.

  • @Icedone100 Why would they be? The Naga pretty much dominated the zone. It's one of the few zones that portrays your enemies as a credible threat. In fact, I prefer the Naga to the Horde or Alliance. Boring, dull factions. I'll just take my blood elves and side with the Naga.

  • and on that same note I couldn't care less about Firelands

I killed Rag in Vanilla, no one cares blizzard

Waiting on 4.3 and it better have The Abyssal Depths Raid

The Skywall was already a letdown. I wish that place was an expansive dungeon not an arena of bosses.

  • @an0my Firelands was basically "it's a new raid!! except everything is on fire" , but i think Skywall was ok, they could've made it a bit bigger than it is and yes if they made Abyssal Depths raid it would be great.

  • Banjoo Kazooie.

  • @MisterRadiation Yeah I thought that but I couldn't remember which level/where abouts...

  • That bit that kicks in around 4 mins sounds REALLY similar to another Nautical based area in a video game, but I can't think for the life of me where or what. It's driving me insane!!

  • @StuartB138 Any hints please?!

  • Something about Vashj'ir always has me sitting at the edge of my chair, breathing heavily, not really eating at all, reading all the quest texts and giving me that feeling, that horrible feeling that makes me lonely when i'm surrounded by people, makes me feel like it's midnight at noon, and makes me ignore my hunger and carry on.

  • When i first time went to Vashj'ir, i was like '' YEAH! AWESOME!'' After questing there, i was like ''Omfg, i need to get back to the shore.'' But how? There wasn't no way out of the deeps of Vashj'ir. Nowhere to hide. Nothing. Just... Death.

  • WHEN ARE THEY GONNA LET ME PLAY AS A NAGA!??!

Most awesome creatures in the entire game.

  • @vortigauntfan Only question is Who would they side with? They don't like land walkers.

  • @vortigauntfan i wanna play as deathwing.

  • @williamstoo ......

  • dude those violins are freaking amazing, i love that tone

  • going inside Nespirah reminds me of going inside Lord Juba-Juba's belly in ocarina of time

  • Literally the only thing I liked about Cataclylsm - Leveling in Vashj'ir!

  • @Shamadamun same i loved the storyline and those little caves felt like a sanctuary

  • I love those huge HUGE GIGANTIC BIG turtles! :)

  • This is my favorite leveling place :)

  • "Wait, how did the whale shark one-shot the tank?!"

  • This zone was my first cata leveling zone. I left my char at the quest npc to go to vashj'ir because I love the sea. I loved this Zone and the music is well written and when I listen to it I picture myself swimming to Atlantis to see what it hides in is mysteries

  • "damm thoese nagas"

  • When you are there, u dont know when u are safe. So much monsters wandering there. Like Whale sharks, and of course, Vaskir.

  • This place reminds me of the Outlands just Underwater

  • The ocean is a desert with its life underground.

  • @wkunzelman1 What about Ocean fairing aviary life?

  • @NinkonWho What about desert faring aviary life...

  • @wkunzelman1 Well, Ocean aviary life is on top of the "desert" now aren't they...

  • so hauntingly beautiful...

  • Haunting, nostalgic and simply beautiful piece of music. Well done, Blizzard, well done!

  • 3:15 i QQ'd

  • Reminds me of "Lost"

  • I have heard the peacful song of Hyjal... I have listened to the calming song of Howling Fjord. I saw the beautiful sight of the grizzly hills... I have wondered into the wonders of Mulgore... I have wished to see the gloriest sight of Nagrand. I slept on the soft grass of Ashenvale... But once I crossed upon the sea... I only saw black... complete black.. It was something I never seen before... horride creatures of Vash'jr

  • @heavyghost102 Lol.

    Gay.

  • @SuperNeWDays You come up with a better poem

    you little commenting twit.

  • @heavyghost102 Roleplayers.

    They're so cute.

  • @SuperNeWDays Nerds bashing other nerds.

    So cute.

  • The greatest Quest Hub and Zone overall blizzard has created yet...

  • @Cynex67 First time around, at least! I was blown away by it on my Shaman, and it was the first content I experienced during Cataclysm. When I was redoing it on my Warrior it felt less epic, though :(

  • @Cynex67 i liked it, but when i first saw it i said:an underwater level, how original. loved it even*

  • @Zartyzzo XD

  • @YouDuck2345 You can just delete yours so it looks like he is talking to himself? Teehee!

  • Comment removed

  • @YouDuck2345 I'm a third party. I looked through the comment chain and has come to the final conclusion that you are the victor of this 'internet fight' seeing as the other individual, Brady2k10, is what i would classify as a patethic moron incapable of even barely intellectual remarks or other means of communication that would enable him to prove any kind of point he might have (which he probably has not, as far as i can see, he is just trying to play 'tough kid'.)

  • @Zartyzzo I appreciate the compliment, and I hope it wasn't brought on by my comment earlier, lest I feel like I'm forcing people to approve of me.

I'm going to go ahead and remove my comments now.

  • Haha, I love Vashj'it <3 one of the best zones everrr! <3 FOR THE HORDE

  • Comment removed

  • I quit playing just two months ago but this area has the best music along with the Dragon Waste

  • I MISS WOW SOOO MUCH!!!

  • just makes you wet your lips for Queen Azshara expansion

  • @Julexlol It does, indeed. And if that particular expansion isn't going to be epic... Just thinking of the ruins makes my inner lore fan jump with joy.

  • Quite possibly... my favorite track.... *melts*

  • i always feel very lonely there when questing alone *sniffle* :(

  • @doxi101 Aww :) *hug* I know what you mean.

  • @TheFlauschig :,)

  • @doxi101 I was every second very scared...and...like you....alone.

  • @doxi101 u shudda been there when cata was first launched >.> on a pvp server everyone was sketchin balls that we would all kill each other.... there was so many horde and ally there its not even funny

  • I've faced malevolent hordes of demons in Outland. I've faced the unholy masses of the walking dead in Northrend. The twisted heights of Karazhan, the venomous glades of the Plaguelands, the depths of Ulduar where madness holds dominion, I have fought, I have conquered.

Nowhere have I felt nearly the same sense of primal fear as in that abyss beneath the sea. There are some places we were not meant to go. That we lived to see the sky again was a miracle. We know nothing of the depths.

  • @Mazed927 Especially if you consider what's at the very bottom. Azshara? Neptulon? Yes, of course. But who MADE Azshara into the monstrosity that she is today? Who CONTROLLED Neptulon once, long ago? Just remember - at the bottom of the ocean, even light must die.

  • @Mazed927 Very goon like, but awesome!

  • @Mazed927 epic said :D

  • @Mazed927 Gayest comment ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... that was scary but a good point

  • @Mazed927 HAHAHAHAHAHA that was epic bro good prose
