  • AHAA COLBERT IS THE BEST

  • Wow the biggest laugh is when he satirically said that they will work together for the betterment of America... Yeah...

  • The guy in glasses behind Colbert is a beast. Dude went almost 3 minutes without even twitching his lip.

  • @MrsJessica86 Oh really? Why?

  • Not terribly funny.

  • The problem was no one provides information of long term jobs. Like any job. Those jobs are all GIVING those jobs to illegal immigrants. You would never know that job was available. An don't believe they get less play than you. They get more pay than you.You see. They let only Latinos information of job. When a Euro or African American hears about this. They wont get the job. They hide that job.

  • The uploader is a faggot. Mockery? Travesty?Ill beat your ass.

  • @PeaceLoveBullets agree fuck the faggot commentator. go watch c-span

  • "thank you! You've been a wonderful crowd!"

  • A must watch! I'm not going back out there either-You know what I mean the "Spud Harvest!

  • how the hell are those people not laughing? what a bunch of turds

  • @brazentongue Politicians always take stuff way to seriously.

  • The only tragedy with this hilarious piece of satire is that the American's who can do something about this - those sitting in Congress - are too silly to understand.

  • THIS IS SO FUNNY

  • We can't allow local cities to make sanctuary cities policies, because they will bring our inner city turf wars to epic proportions by bringing in the drug cartel and Columbian gangs. (Mexican Gangs don't recognize US borders established Treaty of Guadalupe) C SPAN "Black Republican Forum" Session 2 (begin at 11:30) Allen West stated part of Amnesty of 1986 was to secure our borders and enforcement our laws, but haven't happened. (We're still talking about new amnesty like DREAM Act.)

  • 2/2 In November 2010, 15.1 million were unemployed (9.8%). 154 million are able to work in workforce (15.1 million/9.8%). GOOGLE “illegal immigration counters”, There are 11,941,812 (or 11.9 million) skilled jobs provided to illegal immigrants. the 15.1 million unemployed could take the 11.9 million available jobs. The unemployment rate could be reduced to 2.1% {{15.1-11.9)/154}.

  • 1/2 Immigrationcounters com 97% illegal immigrants are from Mexico. • Why did the video cut off I bet there was applause at the end followed by a Celine Dion song playing

  • @randomvideouploader8, Hahaha. Thanx for making it happen just one more time.

  • just a few people in this room have a sense of humor

  • /b/

  • STEPHEN COLBERT U R MY HERO!

  • 2:57- moment of sincere inflection. among other instances, he understands the pain of the peope. he gets it.

  • I love he always keeps a straight face

  • I think that Steven is fucking brave for going up to those people and telling them the truth while making fun of them

  • @shadowtrail66

  • Do any of these government people have a sense of humor you have stephen colbert in front of you and you can't even laugh the government are a bunch of people who are old and boring that only care about bullshit that no one else cares about fuck the government

  • Our legislatures are bringing in tv personalities as witnesses on immigration why?

Our government is a fucking joke!

  • The funny part about all this is that our U.S. government went and outsourced Mexican farm workers to do their dirty work, and now that that they're becoming a majority the government (or anybody with a vested interest in campaigning on such a matter) wants to eliminate that very group from our lands.

  • Lets see how many times has this story been told? They've done it with the Irish, Germans and the Chinese to name a few. This is why we study history, so the we don't repeat the same mistakes more than twice; I count at least 4 (including Mexicans) so we're out to set some sort of record. Apparently the general U.S. populace has yet to tune in.

  • Not a mockery, In fact, I've hadn't seen a better way to get the point across. Funny and whitty, plus everyone paid attention to the testimony. Any other speaker in front of congress would have been quickly forgotten. This got a lot of youtube attention.

  • IM AN AMERIACAN!

  • hahahaha. delightful!

  • to the person about the drug runner. why do you think that person is coming here?? maybe because the US is the DEMAND for Mexican drugs??? ever thought about that? and college students are the biggest part of that demand too.

  • "Pray to the Lord, who owns the harvest, that He will send more workers to gather His harvest" Matthew 9:38

It appears jesus doesn't care about boarders, immigration laws...

It appears he supports working visas...

  • I cant believe it, this is for real? I think its hilarious

  • This guy is a complete idiot. Anybody that likes his show is one too. Get a brain people.

  • @trevorwozny he uses satire to get his point across while at the same time he uses sarcasm to mock Congress for not doing anything. His work is not much different from that of Monty Python in that they both uses jokes and satire to shine light on events that the public overlooks, all the while displaying their messages in the undertones of the jokes . He may not be a genius, but he's good at what he does, and even if you don't agree with his beliefs, at least show some respect for his art form

  • @trevorwozny its ironic that you would make such an ignorant statement and call someone stupid at the same time.

  • @trevorwozny you obviously don't have a fucking brain if you don't see the point hes making. get your head outta your ass, dipshit

  • @trevorwozny Unless you look what "satire" and "irony" means, you can make a post in this, buddy. Assuming you can read.

  • @trevorwozny Colbert uses his charm and witty humor to bring up vital issues in a friendly manner, in order to coax indifferent people into maybe acknowledging them; I'd say that's quite clever.

Get a brain? Try using yours. Even if you dislike him, try showing some respect for what he does as a performer. Clamming up and putting down the validity in his argument by attacking him is nothing short of fallacious.

  • He's the best....ha ha ha

  • the guy to the left is creeping me out..

  • @ Aijoran

well for every 10 illegal immigrants that cross the border 1 drug runner does too

  • @naraku578 And these so-called drug runners don't come from all walks of life--including those born in the US?

Don't tell me you believe our ancestors were born here, or buy into all that manifest destiny crap as if some divine being gave it to us.

We're a nation of immigrants: Foreigners from across the Ocean and our northern as well as southern borders visit our country on a regular basis. Why the sudden hatred for those that specifically come from the South?

  • HE KILLED THOSE GUYZ

  • Satire actually does have truth by it.

  • THis is so hilarious!!! And, he makes a brilliant arguement. SATIRE AT IT'S FINEST!!!!!

  • BRILLIANT

  • Illegal immigrants aren't the only ones who work the fields; Mexican-Americans do as well; I should know; my parents had us all out chopping cotton in West Texas 2 summers in a row. Mr. Colbert needs to do a little more research. Ever hear of the "reconquista" movement, Mr. C? Don't worry, you will soon enough.

  • i don't understand how they weren't laughing the whole time...

  • @leschampagnes1 they probably weren't sure if they should laugh LOL

  • I don't understand why everyone is so pissed about this. People need to lighten up and laugh... I'm a conservative, but I thought this was funny. It's not like congress is gonna do crap anyways....

  • I agree...genius. What a way to use the power of the word to make a point.

  • "I dont want a tomato picked by a mexican" CLASSIC!!! That needs to be on a t-shirt

  • everyone sais its a mockery i say its genius

  • Every comment he makes is a slam on the status quo. The only laugh is when he says Congress will work together for America as they always do. this doesn't have his other hilarious answers tho. Like where he says Cornpacker is a slander to gay Iowans... answering the Iowa congressman.(That got a LOT of snickers)

  • he represents congress

  • for anyone that didnt get the point just start the video at 3:25... the sarcasm meets fact beautifuly until 4:30

  • If every represenative in Congress was like him, all Americans may pay more attention to politics. LOL "I didn't read it, like most members of Congress"

  • freaking awesome! congress is a joke, at least this type of a joke is funny and not ruining our country.

  • is it really that shocking>> i accept this stuff from congress :) blahh

  • yeah guys... its called satire. and it is a legitimate form of argumentation. and is sometimes the best way to get your point across. (i.e. Jonathan Swift.) and why does everyone think colbert and jon stewart are some kind of Uber-liberals? theyre moderates for christs-sake. if they seem too liberal to you then maybe you need to be a little more open minded.

  • yeah guys... its called satire. and it is a legitimate form of argumentation. and is sometimes the best way to get your point across. (i.e. Jonathan Swift.)

  • @mart2224 This isn't embarrassing. This is absolutely hilarious, The people in congress are nothing but a bunch of buffoons anyway. They waste our money and our time. So turnabout is fair play.

  • Everything about this is embarrassing.. for the US, for Steve Colbert, for the citizens.. this is an absolute embarrassment to our country. No wonder other countries think we're idiots.

  • @mart2224 Other country here... he's not why we think your idiots....

  • @stuaxo I didn't say "he" was. I said it was embarrassing on many levels. Let me guess, you're from Great Britain or Canada?

  • @stuaxo anyway.. regardless of what country you're from, we'll be joining you in whatever psuedo-socialist system you have relatively soon.

  • @mart2224 Lol, it seems very very unlikely, the democrats would be considered right wing in most of Europe + no chance of them moving any further to the left.

  • @mart2224 At least Steven Colbert is revealing why other countries think we are idiots, because apparently, half of the US governement does not seem to know. I think Steven Colbert revealed what was common sense and the cold hard facts. Its hard to argue against anything he really brought out.

And Steven Colbert an embarrassment? Have you watched his show. He capitalizese on that and the sad part is hes rich. I would humiliate myself if I could be rich to.

  • @EckkoVoid He's satire, not humilating himself.

  • Hilarious... What did they expect of him? To be serious? The government is a fucking joke...

  • As it is, the mega-farms and corporate agriculture are ridiculously subsidized by governments at all levels and the federal government especially. And the Senate is part of the reason why, where the "fly-over" states with a couple of people in them (Wyoming population: 544,000, North Dakota population 646,000) have the same representation as states like California (population 37 million).

The Senate has outlived its usefulness.

  • hahahahahaha that was hilarious!!! Nothing one with a little laugh. Since our congress is a joke and cant get anything right a lil humor is fine.

  • Congratulations to Colbert. He at least brought this important topic to the fore.

  • come on that last part is gold. how many people had to laugh about congress doing the right thing. he is expressing how many americans feel but we are just not being heard. i would pick apples!

  • what stupid dem invited him?

  • I clicked, I watched, I fell asleep.

  • Economy in the toilet, unemployment levels incredibly high, presidential and congressional approvals at historic lows, bailouts of the automakers, porkulus, wall street bailouts, bribes and payoffs in the stimulus bill, doubling of the debt, destroy healthcare ....and congress is busy listening to Steven Colbert make a mockery of the legislative process? Democrats are an amazing joke. Colbert - you are quite possibly the biggest fucking douchebag I have ever laid eyes on in my entire life.

  • @womsterr why is colbert the douchebag? lol did you not hear what he just said LOL

  • @HippieDrummer06 I heard him perfectly and i think he is a smug, unfunny, d-bag.

  • @womsterr and those are some big words trying to make me sound unintelligent by mentioning my videos LOL says the guy who makes videos with titles like "THE CUTEST TWINS EVERRRRR" and videos of you holding a lizard forcing it to move its mouth with your hands to make it seem like its talking yeah im sure you really want the material people post in their videos to be the basis on how intelligent or how unintelligent they are

  • @womsterr love how everyones freaking out about this it was a 5min speech and if you actually listen he makes points with sarcasm get the fuck over it

  • @ManicTheManic It's ignorance like yours and that bimbo congresswoman Zoe Lofgrun who called him that are the reason this country is in the fucking toilet. Keep fucking around when there are serious issues at stake. I'm sorry but my country's future is not an appropriate place for his sophmoric humor. You'll notice the democrats and libtards can't distance themselves enough from this travesty. Now you get the fuck over it and finish your homework...

Now you get the fuck over it and finish your homework. and stop playing fucking Call of Duty boy.

  • @womsterr ahh those ad hominem attacks are like music to my ears yes i play call of duty and what does that have to do with anything? Why are you blaming colbert? He didnt force his way into this hearing he was invited what did they expect him to do and yes he made a few jokes but he had points behind them and what do you mean democrats need to stop making jokes when things are serious i really dont know what your talking about you could be talking about CNN or somthing with people like

  • @womsterr kieth olbermann making jokes about bill o but thats not paid for by the tax dollars its not like ever democrats in the congress is just putting a comedy act together and wasting time your just trying to stereotype them from colberts performance so you can have more ammo for your attacks....

  • @ManicTheManic not sure what olberman has to do with this. You'll notice even fellow Democrat - Congressman Conyers was trying to put a stop to this nonsense before it started. She will have to answer to her constituents for this extremely poor decision.

  • @womsterr i would say you should be neutered so you can no longer reproduce but it looks like its a little bit to late for that you've already passed your extra chromosome ridden genes onto a new generation....

  • @ManicTheManic and someday you may actually have sex kid...if you put the game controller down...

  • @womsterr so now I play call of duty so i dont have sex and i dont have a life? Wow that sure is original good job man im sure you had to hire some pretty funny writers to think that one up actually its possible to play games on occasion and go out and do things afterwards and feel free to refute what i said accordance to your reply to my original comment or feel free to stop replying before you embarrass yourself further

  • @ManicTheManic Your right, you got me kid. Your years of economic experience, business acumen, profound vocabulary and critical thinking have shown me the error of my ways. I'm going to become a registered democrat first thing in the morning. Have a good night. Glad you enjoyed the videos ;)

  • @womsterr i brought up olberman because i was tyring to figure out what you meant by saying dems need to stop joking around if you were trying to say that people like him made fun of conservatives to much then i was trying to stress that they werent obligated to be serious its not like their air times were being paid for by tax payer dollars or anything and first you say this was democrats fault and then you mention that a democrat was tyring to stop it really dont know whos side your

  • @ManicTheManic Does it always have to be sides? It was a wrong decision. Not a fan of Olberman but he can do whatever he wants - its his dime. So can Colbert - on his show - he doesn't need to testify BS to congress in character. It was a bad decision for him to be invited - and worse decision to accept and put on the show he did...

  • @womsterr why was it a bad decision he was invited to talk about migrant farm workers he did and like ive said many times before yeah he was joking but does that affect the validity of his arguments? No it doesn't.

  • @womsterr and i love how now it doesnt have to be about sides but what did you expect for me to hear you talking so much shit about dems and libs and then not form an opinion based on that

  • @ManicTheManic - again your missing the point. He made about 2 or 3 sentences of "trying" to make a coherent argument. The rest was his act. There are how many bills pending in congress? How many congressmen and woman were tied up there? The same congress who didn't have time to read the healthcare bill? If you can't admit it was a mistake, then there is no reasoning. Even House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (Democrat) says it was an embarrassment. What "side" is he on?

  • @womsterr just re watched the video and no im sorry but the first 1min was all jokes but the rest was almost entirely valid arguments some conveyed by jokes some were not so he may have wasted 1 minute but i think your missing the point people are blowing this way to far out of proportion and conservatives are now using it as a way to attack liberals

  • @womsterr on right now and why does she have to answer to her constitutes like many people have said many times yeah he was joking but he made valid points throughout his speech and wtf does this argument have to do with the economy dumbass jesus for fuck sakes first your arguments fail in then you attempt at sarcasm fails to

  • Colbert is brilliant. On a side note, who the fuck is the joykill cleanshaven dork sitting behind him who never smiles? Why so serious?

  • I thought Colbert was absolutely brilliant.

  • @ryuna Yea - thank God they don't have anything serious to work on...

  • that girl behind him wanted to fuck him

  • re: ;babj615 I think Illegitimacy is the wrong word there. Whatever your personal views on the performance and effectiveness of the current governing bodies are, you would be hard pressed to find an argument against their legitimacy, as our president, senators, and congressmen were voted in by US Citizens.... well those that actually get up off their lazy butts to vote, that is.

  • You folks worry about the waste of money and the mockery of govt caused by colbert appearance...Geeze look at the waste and hurt caused by the just say no republicans a lot worse and a real mockery of democracy in my book

  • @Bolgernow: Sorry, not my dog. I meant your mom.

  • hahahah look at the idiot at 1:09

  • It appears a lot of people have missed the point of his speech. It's mostly about how there are a lot of Americans who will not do this kind of work. I will admit we are a bit spoiled in taht sense believing we are better then some jobs. Also he makes the point that our country was founded by immigrants and now we are trying to keep them out?

  • @Aijoran well they are working for next to nothing living in one bedroom apartments and go back home to live like kings and also send there money there too.In the landscape and hardscape business I myself suffer because they will work for way less and be able to live comfortably as myself won't even be able to save money or even make it.with a second job at night even!they should be taxed as citizens and punished for sending money elsewhere....we can't afford it

  • @Aijoran Most people don't understand satire.

  • @Aijoran there isn't a problem with immigration... legal immigration.

  • what a tremendous Dbag.

  • Considering the cost of each congressmen, the meeting support & the reporting crews, the facilities, and the time of the individuals in attendance for education or their personal stake, it was an utter waste of taxpayer dollars on such nonsense. Mr. Colbert is quite pleased with the attention though.

  • @1kings1918 fyi he paid for himself we did not . check your facts people. if you are so tired of them "taking your jobs" that you dont want anyway . go out there and to it work as long and hard as them and then you have a right to say something untill then shut up

  • @crystalsc86

You are saying he paid for the facilities & reimbursed the government for the cost of each congressman to sit and listen to his silly pathetic attempts at humor? Nice guy. But if he didn't, then in lieu of productive use of congressmen's time & our tax dollars we funded this circus. On second thought, maybe it was a good thing they were spending their time listening to nonsense not destroying anymore of our liberties. Must count our blessings in all of their forms.

  • @crystalsc86 Realizing your probably painfully to ignorant to realize. What about all the congressmen, staff, facilities, all with HUGE SALARIES AND BENEFITS....to sit and watch him to standup.....grow up honey

  • God I love this country! xD

  • Is it any wonder why all intelligent Americans are fed up with government? I am glad to see my tax dollars going to good use. And apparently picking beans for a single day makes a man an immigration expert. I have spent many summers as a kid working on farms doing this "terrible" work. In my opinions every kid should have spend a summer working there. It is a great experience.

  • Ironically, Colbert is the most respected person in the room.

  • I don't agree with everything he is saying, but it is funny! FYI~ We live in the middle of a farm and guess what? During the summer, there were white kids out in the fields picking for the first time in forever!

  • Well done Steven Colbert. Points well crafted using humor and sarcasm, to prove a point.

  • I just saw my dog vomit. Amazingly, it was still way funnier than Steven Colbert. (please excuse my "terrible sense of humor")

  • @keefmeister77 yes, & why is your dog vomiting? Because the poor thing is stuck having to look at it's owners face...

  • Must be nice to be a Liberal. You get to make racist comments and accuse everyone else of being racist.

  • @lousinup yea pretty much, but a liberal sees it as this: "Hey, at least I'm the lesser of two evils!" Meh.

  • @lousinup I dont know. I thnk Fox News does enough of that for the entire US

  • @EckkoVoid Libs call it "Fox Jews." Black Panther Minister King Samir Shabazz, "You want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies!" Mr. Shabazz added, "I hate white people - all of them! Every last iota of a cracker, I hate 'em." Jerry Jackson, an elected member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Party committee. His interests, according to his MySpace page, are: "BLACK POWER, BLACK LOVE, BLACK UNITY, BLACK MINDS, KILLIN CRAKKKAS."

  • colbert for president

  • ; ) the last remark getting a laugh, worth watching!

  • Bahahhahahaa.. I love the part where he says many democrats will be looking for work in November! LOL!!!!!!

  • Kudos to him for having the balls to go there and do what he did!

  • @ jemjean- so what if they live in a gated community or make more money than you. They deserve it Working in those fields under that heat and humidity in Florida? If they make that much money how come there aren't more Americans after those jobs?

Our congress, republican or democrat, is a joke but the worst is the people who election after election believe all the shit they say during their campaigns and vote for them.

This guy through his humor says it like it is and Kudos to him for havi

  • @socaed So 12 million illegals are working in fields? Where the hell is your brain? As for living the good life, I don't expect it. I just expect to be able to go out and find a decent paying job part-time to supplement my own existence in the country I was born in. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so. As for Mexicans doing farm work? We could have it done much cheaper by non-violent legal criminals who already have their lives otherwise funded. Use your head.

  • I'm so disappointed in him. Not funny. The workers on these farms are making more than I am and have a union! I live in Florida and recently, they opened a gated community for them. Recreation center, etc. They get free health care, free day care, free schooling and they can complain to anyone and get immediate attention. Want to be ignored? Try complaining about your wages, treatment as an a legal citizen. Steve, you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @jemjean Thats because you're a lazy bastard sitting on your ass. People that go out and do hard labor will always make more than you. You dont see these people having diabetes like you injecting themselves everyday. So go to your union you bastard.

  • @funjohn206 LOL! I don't have diabetes, Amigo. I have Dystonia, that's like Parkinsons, only non-fatal. Want to try hard labor? Try keeping your home with no means of support and a disease you didn't count on. Now who's the bastard? Anyhow, I never had a union. I wasn't permitted to have one. I make so little on disability that I need a part-time job and guess where they've gone. That's right. You should just shut up when you don't know what you're talking about.

  • Wanna bet he's gonna issue an apology next week? An absolute low point. He should do jail time

  • @talarant That's ridiculous. Using humor he related truths to the congress. In a room filled with people who take themselves too seriously he was a light. It's not like this happens everyday....unfortunately.

  • This is a total joke. I respect Colbert because he does good work on his show, but this is totally offensive as an American - to make a mockery of a Congressional hearing. If you want to prove a point, then take it seriously instead of throwing endless stabbing jokes in there make it lack major credibility to whatever may be "truth". Also...I think its insanely foolish of the Congress person to INVITE him to this hearing. This is blatant publicity stunt. Get real...

  • Comment removed

  • His appearance before congress was totally inappropriate. I mean seriously, if you call yourself a comedian you should at least be kinda funny, which he isn't. I've seen corpses funnier than him.

  • @keefmeister77 What babj said, congress is a joke, therefore he is just treating it like one.

  • @keefmeister77 you obviously have a terrible sense of humor!

  • @Observer585 I heartily disagree with you good sir. I thought it was rather witty.

  • humor is injected with unadulterated truth and then force fed to the legislative branch of the american people....which in turn, makes Ms Jackson Lee so uncomfortable she turns to her blackberry for comfort. classic, kudos Steven!

  • well played sir! while i would love to see him ACTUALLY make a statement. i applaud him for using his position to raise awareness.

  • Holy shit. balls of steel.

  • Comment removed

  • "I don't want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American, then sliced by a Guatemalan, & served by a Venezuelan, in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian." That whole statement was full of win.

  • Spoke the truth and nothing but the truth!! Maybe congress and those extreme Christians who opposed changes and don't want to see the truth, will pull their heads out of their a..wesome fantasy world and really work towards forcing our government to focus in current problems!! Who is our government really working for?

  • NATION REJOICE!!! STEVEN IS BRILLIANT A TRUE SIGN OF JUST HOW BIG HIS BALLS TRULY ARE.

  • Lighten up folks humor belongs in congress. Sarcasm can be the best conveyer of

    truth!

  • best thing ive seen in a while

  • This wasted taxpayer money. Since he told facts that are not the truth he should be held in contempt. Free speech is great and satire may be funny, but not telling the truth to congress is illegal. Ask Roger Clemens or Karl Rove about it.

  • @justonemori this was a great use of tax payer money....he went in there and gave them we we allllllllll want to...a wake up call

  • @4nOwHeRe20 hmmm stephen funded his own way and it didnt waste their namymore then what they waste anyways so how was this a waste>?

  • @wizarddragon didnt say it was a waste......and he may have funded his way in there but tax payer money goes to paying the idiots listening to him....either which way it was well spent for a change......our defense budget is a waste, the war on drugs is a waste.....a little common sense being knocked into them is not a waste

  • @4nOwHeRe20 lol i must of replied to wrong person but i agree..I doubt common sense can be knocked into them
