Being that this song became popular toward the beginning of pollution reform in the U.S., I wouldn't doubt that it became a major factor in prompting legislation for a cleanup of our environment by creating awareness, ridicule and embarrassment on a nationwide scale. 

Does anyone know the original name of the tune used for that song?

By the way, that was an excellent job of coordinating the movie to the song.

So... Star Wars meets Tom Lehrer.

We need much more Tom Lehrer on YouTube and everywhere, although dog knows I wouldn't wish him back in Celebrity Hell again. To quote myself: "The esteemed Mr. Lehrer is still alive, although he'd prefer the general public to assume otherwise. I find that admirable. If you're not familiar with his work, then, well... I feel sorry for you. That is all."
