I think the Hellacopters are the best band of the last 10 years.In Sweden there has been a lot of bands, but this was the most interesting.All though they did not create anything in terms of rock, but were very sincere.

Also, Europe pretty much founded modern music with the classical music from the 1300's to the 1800's.

It's plain out retarded to say there's almost only electronic music here.

Here in Sweden Metal is probably the genre with most bands for example and that is pretty much the opposite of Trance and Dance.

@kraai1324 i also think, that it's a difference in sound because you wanna hit the bass drum right in the center ... you can't do that with a double pedal, but with double bass drum ... the only thing where it would not matter is "triggered" drums where a sample is played no matter where you hit the drum itself
