I can't believe Lucas bought Edwin because he thinks that in a day he can make him want him. That is incredibly juvenile. But then again Lucas is used to getting everything and everyone he wants. I think he has to take a chance and be vulnerable with Edwin. That is a huge risk but perhaps if Lucas is really in love it is worth taking.

Edwin's father is actually pretty cool - I thought he would turn out to be a psycho but he and the mother are a good balance to the other characters in the show.
I am sure that without the initiative of Lucas, Edwin would not now raise questions about his relationship with Wiet and true love in general! He understands how much Lucas wants to him .. the action de Lucas is so huge, that Edwin can not remain insensitive!
Anton... great piece of advice... not only for that particular situation but for all of us out here. I've had my share of doubtful relationships and they ended up pretty bad. For both parts involved. Now that is some wisdom. And as for Janine she was the wisest mum ever, right there. Forcing people to see or believe something never goes according to what you have in mind.

@Maddi1207 Jaaaa, Hollaendisch ist eine Ingvaeonische Sprache, wie Friesich, und Plattdeutsch. Deswegen auch so nah mit English und Deutsch (Westgermanische Sprachen) verwandt :) Ich kann auch ohne Untertitle noch soooo viel verstehen :D

I have to say tho.. I am liking Edwins Father and that conversation he had with Edwin. Very sound advice. Dont go through a relationship and forse a relationship if you for one min doubt something. Also Honesty goes a LONG way in a relationship cause tha twill build trust. He isn't Honest with Weit cause he isn't Honest with himself.
I think Janie had her heart in the right way but left an important topic out. I think Lucas should go on this date. just make sure its friendly only

For those who are STILL saying that Lucas lost dignity by buying Edwin for a day, please notice that Edwin is FINALLY beginning to reflect on what or whom he really wants. Instead he told her to go home and was asking his father about True Love, while thinking about Lucas and will go on the date, like he really wants to.Keep on being aggressive Lucas and do the opposite of what Janine says.

At the time Janine first advised not pushing Edwin, the situation was different (Edwin hadn't taken up with Wiet, if I remember correctly) and her advice was probably wise. The new situation, though, calls for more action.
