Well you can't compare actual property to interlectual property, like software or imagery. Logging into your facebook and stealing you images isn't the same as breaking into someones house and stealing pictures.

It doesn't matter what bizarre moral codes you believe hackers may abide by, the law in fact treats this property *exactly* the same as a physical theft. Half-Life 1 is a great game but Half-Life 2 just sucks. The story is lacking and unnecessarily difficult to understand, the weapons are exactly the same as the first game except some are more generic like the Pulse Rifle, and overall the Source engine is terrible. Half-Life 2's episodes are okay, and I'm looking forward to episode 3, but the original is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated and just sub-par in many ways.

@Xariat Pretty much. That's why I like id Software. I haven't played Doom 3 or the Quake games, but what they did in the early 90s was amazing, and Rage look excellent. They spend so much time on their games and they overall just feel high quality. Although, they do have John Carmack, which might as well be considered cheating because he's just such a fucking boss.

@alexis327100 The graphics were improved actually but I just liked the gameplay a lot more. The map design in both is way better, there's more variation in gameplay, and less stupid physics puzzles. Also, they develop the characters a lot more and the plot is a little better.
