  • Wow. Ron Paul should just STFU. Seriously. He's crazy.

  • @Tradeofjane

    Wow Likewise.*

  • Ron Paul's a bit of a kook, but he may still be the best candidate.

  • @counterclockwise123 Yep, that's how it is in your country.. everyone who dares to speak out how things really are is a kook..

  • the original CIA assets were mostly Nazis that were guilty of some of the most horrendous war crimes in ww2 watch?v=4RXPJmqkxmI

  • bill maher and others still think that the CIA is good, the CIA is a terrorist orginization sponsored by the federal govt.

  • paul says "we could do without the cia murdering." and maher doesn't get it.... maher would feel naked but as paul points out , you would be a lot safer.

maher winds up defending the power structure.... hes as independent as colin powell--- i.e. completely compromised. bill revealed the suburban laugh chaser and not too astute politcally.......

  • he's being SARCASTIC about a LOT of the things hes sayin gu fuckin idiots.... hes on ron paul's side all the way...

  • Ron Paul has a wierd conception of freedom.

  • I like Ron Paul and will probably vote for him......Bill Maher is a ratings person for the TV stations...to ignite lost souls and wandering generalitys in this world...and there are many

  • the cia an "evil" necessity.... thats exactly what they said about the SS... circa 1942....

  • Ron Paul, I like him...

  • maher here defending the cia? thats profound ignorance.

  • @ColdChicago

I didn't feel that he was excusing them for misdeeds, just seemed to realise that they are an ( evil) necessity

  • I think if Ron Paul becomes president....he's going to get exactly what JFK got :(

  • Economics is NOT a science. It is a socio-political tool used by the elites to shape public opinion and to give an air of legitimacy to a system designed to enslave the mass of people with DEBT. All bankers create money out of thin air and loan it to governments at INTEREST so that societies then become debt ridden. Assets come from the utility of things, the value of a society comes from it's people and their innovations. Bankers have hi-jacked the system and have installed their own leaders.

  • everytime i watch ron paul i find myself saying the same thing, this dude NEEDS to be president.

  • Bill Maher is another immoral Zionist Jew

Why do you think he has so much TV time ?

What about the Sun ???? what has the temp on the moon done over

    the last 30 yrs ?

  • @clintonlies hahaha what? Nice relevant youtube name by the way. Clintonlies, how do you stay so fresh and current?

  • Bill Maher is another immoral Zionist Jew

Why do you think he has so much TV time ?

  • The States in the North bought* Slaves** from Germany to fight against the South.

    *Sorry, foreign Recruitment

    **Sorry, Serfdoms or "Body owned"

  • We live in a corporatocracy. Political pundits receive talking (topical) points from the major networks and the corporations that support them. The media sticks to topics that the major corporations can benefit from, and disregards the topics that might cause corporations to pull advertising dollars. Artificial dialectics are created which give the general public an illusion of checks and balances within the system. Research the Hegelian Dialectic.

  • Bill Maher receives talking points in the same way that all of the talking heads do. It makes no difference that he's a comic. What's really humorous is that people think he is an independent thinker.

  • @valis8536

never heard of "talking points", could you explain that a bit further ?

  • Comment removed

  • @OMGWereScrewed

    Corporate shrill?

many of the points he was making were critical of big corporations.

And if all this animosity towards bill Maher is because of what appears to be altercation between the two, you should know that in this very interview bill stated that Ron Paul is his 'hero'. And he has also publicly endorsed Ron as his favorite candidate for the republican nomination.

  • @OMGWereScrewed

    Perspectives to express

  • @OMGWereScrewed "talking points" is a meaningless term coined by FOX "news"--referring to the list of "hot topics" etc their geeks are instructed to discuss each day--allegedly directed by the "illuminati" etcetera

  • Corporate shill?

"But haven't we learned from Walter Reed and so many other scandals that actually private enterprise does worse, corporations are actually worse than the government because they have absolutely no conscience?"

Doesn't sound like a "corporate shill" to me with that statement. I don't necessarily agree with his sentiment, but I think the title of this video is misleading.

  • @jstick34 Yeah, his quote there screams moron actually. I love Bill Maher, especially his views on religion. Sadly though, he and every other liberal have a conscience because they're still stupid and naive enough to think that caring is going to change reality. Economics don't change because you feel sorry for the homeless or the unemployed or those without healthcare. Nothing in this world is free and it never will be. Socialism doesn't work. There will always be haves and have-nots.

  • @rcdrvrrc7 your right, caring is not enough to do anything, policy is. if the people elect good representatives, who genuinely care about their constituents, then they can create laws and allocate assets to help the poor instead of just saying fuck the poor, you dick

  • @rapsta86 Assets have to come from somewhere, you moron. You can't pull money out of your ass so that you can pay doctors to give people "free" healthcare. How about paying contractors to build "free" clinics? The national deficit is at an all time high. Of course, the left is dead set on "allocating more assets". Maybe you never took an Econ class in college, but economics is a SCIENCE not a RELIGION. Changing your views on it doesn't do anything. Not believing in physics doesn't stop gravity.

  • no matter how many times Bill tried to make light of Mr Paul he failed terribly...

I used to think BM was entertaining and now i see he's plainly a shill of a man who is seriously misguided on so many issues.

  • Bill Maher is Despicable piece of excrement...

  • Comment removed

  • Bill Maher ughhh he sucks

  • @lol97d

"Bill Maher......a Bill O Reilly disgused as a liberal."

    You got it.

  • I knew Bill Maher was a New World Order loving government shill when he flashed the Satanic hand sign since the evil Satanic New World Order members also flash the Satanic hand sign as well.

  • wow ron paul makes a lot of sense.

  • if ron paul becomes president next year then this country will finally be liked by the rest of the world..its insane how much of the world hates this place and its so funny how people living here got into their heads that america is better than everyone..way off people way off

  • Bill Maher may be a little arrogant, but he's usually the smartest guy in the room. He's certainly smarter than all the people leaving comments about what a moron he is. As is Ron Paul for that matter.

  • Ron Paul has some great points but how at all did he "spank" bill maher? His alternative to the civil war is first of all BS considering the european nations he is referring to primarily had serfs which were primarily white and of the same descendency, and had uprisings which gradually reached a point of nonslavery (after hundreds of thousands of deaths along the way). And his foreign policy point is the same as Bill's in that they don't support subsidizing oil companies

  • Vive Ron Paul!!! Long Live Ron Paul!!! Viva Ron Paul!!!

  • There is nothing wrong with being against the civil war. Millions of people died because some were to arrogant just to let slavery die. He's right, why did we have to fight?

  • ofcourse billl is an ignorant he said on one show that alcohol is posion and everey posion in any quantity is bad for human:D is sad to know that most of our medicine is based on small amount of posion... thats why if you take one pill you will feel better and if you eat whole package you can die....

  • Bill Maher is a major douchebag who sucks donkey dick

  • they are privatizing the FAA..so air traffic controllers are now working for Lockheed Martin, the same time they federalized baggage screeners. Either way the Feds manipulate who gets hired by their affirmative action guidelines, which means people don't get hired based on skills or need, but on race and gender. Does that make you all feel better? Abdul can't hijack an airplane as easily, but he can get hired to control air traffic or to screen your bags, because they have to hire a muslim.

  • Geez, the Ron Paul sheep are really quite the blind ideologues. I think Dr. Paul has some good ideas that could definitely help make America better, but the basis for those ideas is not sound. Basically he's advocating 100% for America to be run by corporations. Period. He stands for 100% individual rights trump everything (corporations 'count' as individuals in America). That's a dangerous groundwork to base an ideology on, certainly every bit as much as America should be 100% govt run.

  • @Relbl They don't get it.

  • I like Bill in some ways and some of his views (he is more of a liberal than a liberterian) but he gets owned by Ron Paul in this video.

  • GO RONNIE LOVE YOUR IDEAS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNING US ABOUT THE FED FOR TWENTY YEARS. THANKS. BILL IS AN IDIOT.

  • Bill Maher = douchebag.

  • I like how in the related videos, there is a video called Ron Paul is Bill Mahers new hero

  • Ron Paul is a fifth column commie.

  • Why is everyone so bitter about this? Bill Maher let Ron Paul have 3 minutes on a popular TV show (when no one else would). For the most part he let him explain his views and has invited him back. I understand Bill Maher didn't agree with his answers and he made a few jokes at his expense. Oh well, stop being so sensitive. If you watched Bill Maher's show a little more you'd notice he often promotes the idea of tolerating people who disagree with you politically.

  • Ron Paul is 100x the man Bill Maher will ever be

  • Bill Maher is a hypocritical asswipe. He's just an elitist Zionist who only criticizes and never offers solutions other than "all religions except Judaism suck" and "always support Israel". He bashes Fox News and Rush Limbaugh for being neo-cons, but then uses Conservative tabloids like the Daily Mail to spread fear of Muslims taking over Europe.

  • @Tremills9971

    He thinks Judaism sucks too

  • Bill Maher has always been a stooge. This isn't surprising. He sucks his own dick by thinking himself a Libertarian when he is far from. He is a liberal cocksucker to the hilt.

  • @Hapafull You're obsessed with dick sucking.

  • 2;53-2;56

mr paul laughs like RENFIELD in "dracula dead and lovin' it"

lool i like this guy this a decent man

  • Liberal commentators always deride conservatives as the party of no, but when a conservative begins to give a thoughtful answer, CHANGE THE SUBJECT! While talking about the CIA and Terrorism -Maher jumps in" you have some pretty far out there thoughts about the civil war". Paul said he thought there was a BETTER WAY to get rid of slavery than the civil war. Maher is an ignoramous who changes the subject when he doesn't know his history and cannot talk thoughtfully about a subject.

  • Bill Maher just lost a LOT of respect. Ron was breaking new ground by actually being correct and contrary to society's conditioned beliefs, and Bill was just a pandering slave, stupidly defending what he "thinks" is right for a country. Ass clown.

  • Maher is a real jerk. Ron Paul is just casting pearls at this swine.

  • Ron Paul bends over Maher and doesn't let up.

  • why wouldnt u be against the civil war... its a WAR! - why wouldnt u be against any war as a human being.

  • Ron Paul is actually right regarding global warming, there really ARE scientists who disagree with other scientists... bill maher is just being a complete ignorant fool here cuz he never cared to get the info.

  • @JazBlogShow You can always find a contrarian but the most qualified INVOLVED scientists are firmly convinced of anthropogenic global warming. And some of the former contrarians are coming around; most of the people who are moving the other way are politicians and their followers.

  • Ron Paul rules.

  • Ron Paul owned this clown.

  • maher is like the rest of the prosetutes in media

  • You may disagree with some of Paul's ideas, but you know what you get with him. I say that I like about 60% to 75% of his platform.

  • American "satirists" are just awful.

  • Bill Maher has lost a lot of respect over the years, this clip shows why and compounds his subversive corporate ties to lying.

  • Don't care for Ron Paul but figured he was a reasonably intelligent guy until I saw this clip. Doesn't think the Civil War was about slavery? Thinks there are credible scientists on both sides of the Global Warming debate? Geez. Oh, by the way, this last March was the hotest March on record.... ever.

  • this guy should be president but never will be

  • The faa does a great job. This is why flying is so safe and efficient (for the most part). what would privatizing that accomplish?

  • @dac8555

The FAA does a great job? We have two smoldering ruins where the largest skyscrapers in the world used to be and over 3000 dead in a single day. If the airlines were allowed to handle their own security rather than relying on the Fed to protect them then the pilots would have been allowed to have a firearm in the cockpit.

Now let's go back to 9/11 when dirty Saudis with dingy homemade knives are trying to hijack American Airlines. Now let's imagine the pilot has a pistol.

    Exactly.

  • @Hapafull YES! finally somebody speaks some sense.

  • hard to believe this guy's a politician. speaks clearly and speaks the truth. and seems honest enough to back track and admit if he's wrong.

  • "Some Jobs may be too big for anything but the government." I like Ron Paul, but Bill Maher may have him there. The issue is how it's being handled, not the idea itself.

  • This doesn't expose a damn thing. I don't even now why I watched it. If anything it exposes Ron Paul. The sheer irony here is the only reason I have decided to comment on it.

  • This much I agree with. Ron Paul really isn't as bad as I ever thought. Still disagree with him on economic issues, but otherwise he's not too bad.

  • Every now and then Bill Maher makes a decent point but this time he is being a total retard.

  • Bill Maher is a smarmy little cunt, and I hate him.

  • Bill maher is just a misinformation puppet to the elites to fool the masses! Fuck him and michael moore.

  • damn! bill maher has changed so much over the last ten years. its clear that mk ultra got to him after he was fired back in 02. its so sad

  • I hope that clears it up. I hope you also check the book out. peace.

  • edit: "fond" not fodn.

  • Now, I didn't misinterpret Mr.Paul. Ron Paul is trying to rewrite history. If you read paul johnsons book on american history you'll realize what started the civil war is not even how ron paul is trying to simplistically characterized it.

  • Abraham lincoln did not even want the war. Nor did General scott nor did 5 out 7 of those cloest to lincoln in his cabinet. The truth is Jefferson davis was paranoid, a uncompromising slaver, and a hardcore secessionist to boot.

  • He and others wanted to secessed inorder to expand the slave state and keep it going. If they defeated the north then they could expaned what they wanted to do. Which was to lower tariffs inorder to continue the slave trade on the cheap, slavery, and disolve the union. It is a bold face lie to state slavery could have been achieved without the war.

  • ergo, the dread scott case, by declaring the missouri comprise unconstitutional, and the Kansas-Nebraska act together opened up enormous new opportunities for setting up slave-plantations and ranches, and therefore increased the demand for slaves. This is what got lincoln interested in politics again and is pretty much what made him want to become president.

  • Keep in mind this was said by linchion himself: " I was losing interest in politics, when the repeal of the Missouri Compromise aroused me again. What I have done since then is pretty much well know."

  • Southerners were arguing that to take the black from africa and set him up in comfort on a plantation was the equivalent, allowing for racial differences, of allowing a penniless european peasant free entery and allowing him, in a few years, to buy his own farm.

  • Actually what lincoln was not in favor of was CIVIL RIGHTS for Blacks. However, paradoxically one might consider it he was infact a abolishist who was against slavery. ie. As in opposed to considering black people as property.

  • Because everyone else did automatically means that's the way America should of done it? Sorry, paul, but you are only half correct. The civil war was fought not only over unionization but emancipation as well. the private letters of abraham lincoln prove this fact. Sounds to me like someone has been reading the politically inncorrect guide to the civil war. reading material enjoyed by usually racists.

  • It was fought over emancipation as well. You are correct there, and Ron Paul didn't disagree.

Ron Paul's comment was that emancipation could have been achieved without a war. Unionization, on the other hand, could not. So, in essence, because the war was only necessary for unionization, it was a war about unionization and not emancipation.

I'm not saying I agree with him; I only think you misinterpreted his argument. But then again, I could be wrong...

  • Now, when you read johnsons book you will also learn the first law he drafted was a bill to abolish slavery in the district of columbia, to be enacted by local referendom.(which became apart of the 1850 compomise) However, still the slavery issue would not let him rest or stay out of politics.

  • You'll also learn about the fugitive act of 1850 which lead Whitter to echo the feeling of the north on this act: No slave hunt in our boarders, no pirate on our strand! No fetters in the bay state, no slave upon our land!

  • One last thing. Davis claimed the confederacy was born of a peaceful appeal to the ballot box. However, this was not true. No state held a referendum. It was decided by total of 854 men in various secession conventions, all of them selected by legislatures, not by the voters. Of these 157 voted against secession. So 697 men, mostly wealthy, decided the destiny of 9 million people, mostly poor.

  • However, Davis was fodn of saying the secession was "not a rich man's war and a poor man's fight. But the fact is it was the really rich, and the merely well-to-do, both of whom had a major interest in the struggle, who decided to commence it, not the rest of the whites, who had no direct economic interest in it at all.

  • I have wanted Ron Paul for President for years. Why is this country so stupid?

  • ron paul would've been a damn good history professor, and pres.

  • So suspicious... this is not a pure scientific conversation, its a show... meaningless...

Who would risk letting ron paul say what he want? This is all planned, to supply a risen demand, but under their control

  • Man Ron Paul is one smart guy, iam fairly disappointed that he was not elected

  • Bill Maher being exposed as a corporate shrill by a self-defined corporate shrill?

  • Ron Paul is a boss no matter what.

  • fomastephanovitch is a moron. It's pointless talking to him for the simple reason that anyone with even one functioning thought can't communicate with someone who has none. Time to move on.

  • "No you don't!"

Awesome! It's nice to see someone take Ron Paul on for his bizarre inconsistencies.

  • What a misleading title to the video.

  • wow, I did not realize how much of a nut bag Ron Paul was, though I do agree that the Civil War was a bad idea. Think how fucking rich a country we would be today without the Dixie states.

  • I live in NZ and this man is the sort of politician I'd vote for. If there are no candidates like this, then I don't bother.

More people should adopt this reasoning.

  • Don't worry, stupid is sweeping the western world.

  • Tell me about it!

    "Change we can believe in."

Talk about a platitude bowled over by the weight of it's own balls!

One thing I love to observe is the American left - I call them people of a book, since they tend to have only read one Noam Chomsky book and they believe themselves superior to everybody else. Incidentally, the people they belittle see this, but don't argue because it's just as Mencken said: democracy is the most amusing form of government ever devised by man.

    Maher's crowd are dumb.

  • no left. no right. a ruse has been played upon you ?????novitch but you're not alone by any stretch. I see that you and Maher's crowd have more than one thing in common. duped and dumb. happy new years.

  • Agreed. The left needs to smarten up and read more from the right's mental giants: Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin (who helped her write?)... America just lived through 8 years of the "dumbest" (to misuse your word again - you're so smart!) leader the western world has ever known. Think about just how bad Bush must have been for you backwater rednecks to elect a black man. Think about it. (And then shut up.)

  • Yes the right are stupid too. Like I said, the left are people of a book. Just like the hillbillies who follow the above three conservatives, the anti-bigotry bigot crowd who trumpet truisms rebel against society by conforming with each other.

You kicked out Bush and replaced him with an administration run by a more eloquent man who still is Bush in substance, with a couple of intellectual heavyweights like Biden, Pelosi and Reid.

That's where solipsistic groupthink partisanship gets you.

  • Wow. I cannot understand where people come up with the titles for these videos... the title for this does not even match what happens in this video. As far as all these comments go, can none of your moronic Americans identify a well thought argument, even if you do not agree with it?

  • Ha ha ha ha ... Ron Paul spanked Bill Mahar ! Hey Bill , stick to comedy and Ron Paul , you better stick to politics , we need you !

  • You want Maher to stick to comedy? He'd be out of a job ;-). He's one of the least funny talkshow hosts out there.

  • Oh Ron, I do thank you for all your efforts, but there is no hope for us...we are indeed far too susceptible to the plots and folly of evil men!

  • maher relies on embarrassing cursory snipes and "jokes" when he has no idea what someone is talking about...which is about 90 percent of the time.

  • maher has no soul

  • Comment removed

  • Hate this CUNT Bill Maher-Thinks he is so informed and funny and his twat audience laught at everything that come out of his mouth....wanker

  • I don't agree with him on economics but he no's what it means to be a true American, civil liberties are the starting point to everything else

  • I realize Maher isn't being totally serious in his remarks to Ron Paul. But he makes himself out to be an ignorant fool with his pandering for laughs. Look at Ron Paul's face on the tv screen right at the end of the clip. He looks so disappointed that this interview was so short and unproductive. I felt a bit sorry for him.

  • i agree and he has every right to ... Bill Maher is polemic and comedy is a dangerous weapon when it comes to massmanipulation

  • mass manipulation? carlin and hicks were two of the most famous comedians of the last couple of decades - yet their critical comments are nowadays still as valid and in some cases even more pressing than back then! this can only be if comedy (or dare i say 'all critical thinking'?) has no effect whatsoever on the masses.

  • Global warming is real, however,Mars' methane ice caps are melting, and jupiter is 40% brighter,in fact all the planets in our solar system are heating up,I am not sure my neighbors SUV is responsible.

  • you are absolutely right ... there are 13k (or even 30k) scientist that don't comply with the official global-warming-theory

and the interstellar (?) warming is a fact as well, but what causes this irregularities in the sun's activity ? it would have to be a huge-scale object within it's perimeter ...

    HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • America isn't "falling", we're turning into a social democracy. The fact which too many Americans won't accept is that socialism doesn't have to be autocratic and dictatorial. Socialism and democracy can work together; it's just too complex a concept for most American to wrap their heads around.

To them it's all, "may God have mercy on us when we finally come to look like that cultural and economic backwater, Europe."

  • Well considering the US was neither constitutionally a socialist utopia nor a democracy but a republic.

  • was ... :(

  • Europe is a social and economic backwater.

    Socialism does not work.

  • You jockeying for a spot on FOX Noise? Europe has a higher standard of living and better health care than the US. Is that how you define economic backwater?

  • Which is why the US economy is in the shitter and the Euro trades for 1.4256 U.S. dollars today. You display America's most stereotypical characteristic: ignorance.

  • What a dickhead! I know that.

The US economy is in the shitter because the market crashed when the government forced banks to lend to people who couldn't pay the money back.

Europe is the same as the US, a monolithic market in a geographically useful spot for trade which produces nothing.

Bill Maher might be an unfunny uplifting wowser, but he's right about America making things again.

You guys have to take an axe to those bureaus of yours and grow some nuts.

  • Sadly, you're a moron. You get proven wrong and then prattle on like your half-baked opinion outweighs facts. Here's some more for you to chew on, fool: Canadians outlive Americans and score consistently higher on quality of life indices, along with Norway, Sweden and just about any other "socialist" country you can name. I'm not a fan of everything in our system, but I'm also not a fan of people who talk out their ass. Beat it, moron.

  • That's because the ones that haven't topped themselves have such low-expectations that they think dying whilst on a waiting list for a simple procedure is a great thing.

The border's not far, keep driving: you'll raise the collective IQs of both countries.

  • He is reffered to as a corporate shill because the only person who made sense in the last election was Ron Paul and like everyone who interviewed him tried to make him look stupid. However, like the rest of the corporate shills Ron Paul defeated them in intellectual arguments. In 30 years, when America has fallen people will look back and say...wow that Ron Paul was a genius, too bad those American fools were such idiots and couldn't get their shit together

  • I don't get the title of this video--Maher exposed as corporate shill? Didn't he say Corporations have no conscience, and therefore there are some things government does better? How is that shilling for Corporations?

  • Because it's a platitude which corporate shills use to manipulate the inner directives to watch his television show - inner directives are the biggest spending demographic after lottery winning hillbillies.

  • Thanks for making yourself even more obtuse. An "inner directive" is a big spending demographic? A directive can spend? And corporations having no conscience is a fact of life, not a platitude. If it's the law that you have to maximize profits for your shareholders a conscience or sense of morality almost invariably become irrelevant. Oops, what am I saying? I've beecome a corporate shill manipulating those big spending inner directives. Damn. I'm such a dupe.

  • Firstly, yes the inner directives are because like most demographic clusters of people vanity is an endemic property so their need to define themselves is a cry out for someone to supply it. Individual inner directives may lack money but their numbers and the frivolity of their needs make the pursuit of their money well worthwhile.

A corporation is a collective so the notion of having a conscience is more figurative than literal; it is what its members compel it to be to maximize their profits.

  • "The inner directives are because like"? Horrible sentence structure. Vanity is an endemic property of demographic clusters? Huh? Which demographic? All of them? Vain demographics? And vain people need people to supply something to define themselves? So there are groups of vain people who like compliments? And a directive is something you do, not what you are. I'd go on but your convoluted sentences and lack of coherence is giving me a headache. Put down the Thesaurus and learn how to write.

  • Haha excuse me, I wasn't holding a thesaurus, it was a JD and coke. Just as bad most of the time.

The inner directives are #this way...#

Yes, I believe vanity is an endemic property of collectives - it is a common human trait. Excuse my cynical crowd psychology language, but I can almost guarantee it.

Compliments? No, they are not quite that crass, they need people to sell them things in order to be "unique individuals" - this creates a niche market.

The irony that manifests is funny to me.

  • Maher is a dick, there are plenty of reputable scientists who don't believe in man made global warming, contrary to what the left eco-authoritarians say.

  • it's not about left or right... it's about up or down, but you are right, 30,000 scientists cant be wrong

  • I concur. I was a bit shocked Maher would just shout out something like that.

Yes, global climate change is happening, and yes, we should be cleaning up our act regardless. However, no reputable scientist can say for certain, or with accuracy, the level of aggregate interference with the natural weather system that humans induce.
