The FAA does a great job? We have two smoldering ruins where the largest skyscrapers in the world used to be and over 3000 dead in a single day. If the airlines were allowed to handle their own security rather than relying on the Fed to protect them then the pilots would have been allowed to have a firearm in the cockpit.

Ron Paul's comment was that emancipation could have been achieved without a war. Unionization, on the other hand, could not. So, in essence, because the war was only necessary for unionization, it was a war about unionization and not emancipation.

Individual inner directives may lack money but their numbers and the frivolity of their needs make the pursuit of their money well worthwhile.
A corporation is a collective so the notion of having a conscience is more figurative than literal; it is what its members compel it to be to maximize their profits.

Maher is a dick, there are plenty of reputable scientists who don't believe in man made global warming, contrary to what the left eco-authoritarians say.

I concur. I was a bit shocked Maher would just shout out something like that.
Yes, global climate change is happening, and yes, we should be cleaning up our act regardless. However, no reputable scientist can say for certain, or with accuracy, the level of aggregate interference with the natural weather system that humans induce.
