Ive just listened to Unknown Pleasures for the first time last night and i cant get enough of it. One of the most complete albums in living memory. Ive always known of the album because you would have had to have gone through the last 20 years with your eyes closed not to notice the brilliance of Peter Saville. Did you know that the image is a recording of a star going super nova?

"This video project was inspired by the famous album cover art of 1979 album, Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" designed by Peter Saville. Original video footage is from Joy Division's TV performance of "Shadowplay" on Granada Reports. The video footage was animated with the same topographic style of the album cover design."

Yeah, good concept. Unknown Pleasures is their finest work, IMO. Songs like New Dawn Fades, Disorder, Shadowplay, She's Lost Control and Day of the Lords. Long live Joy Division.
