Those who came to see and hear James play I'm sure get frustrated when they can't hear him over the din, but the rest of the people at these venues simply keep talking (and yelling) louder and louder to make themselves heard over the music. They have no clue about good music/artists - they're there to be seen and hook up with other singles (or whatever). I've watched them do this at Jason Ricci's shows. It's total self-absorption.
Thanks for the kind response. I humbly suggest - try adding a strap to the brace back round your shoulderblades, under your arms; it's extra stable, even if it does look like a brassiere:)
