I thing it is filtering problems. Redline hangs on until its confirms the signal for sure and there is no much time for it with multanova. But Redline is great against Redflex esp. when dawn KA is off. When KA is on it affects K band also somehow on Redline
@andreyka64 You are a stupid ass mofo that needs to WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO before posting lame comments. Or if you're too lazy to do that then READ THE FUCKING COMMENTS BELOW about how midway through the video the Redline WAS moved up high next to the V1. Fucking nut swinger.
I have tons of 34.3 Ka cameras where I live and I get plenty of warning with the redline and i have it mounted In the center of the windshield. And gotta remember when you test radar detectors together they interfere with each other.
Turn off x band and pop on. I had a lot of saves with redline vs multanova vans in Europe. I dont know what is your problem unles there are a special multanovas in Australia
Yeah good video but that is the only thing the valentine can beat the redline on. Ka band sensitivity on the redline seems to usually be quite better then the Valentine
V1 is still the King!! all this hype about the Redline is all that is. I will never go back to Escort and have not for years and this is why no to mention it gets very old always having to chase new units to get the latest technology instead of simply upgrading the V1 when something new comes out
Agreed. Now if Mike would just stealth the thing out, add GPS and a remote install option, USB updatable software, user control panel to change software settings, and community speed trap system like Trapster.com it would be perfect!
That would be special i would pay whatever the new price would be as well hopefully one is in the making that is really all it is lacking then it would be perfect.
I would raher be warned before going throiugh the speed cameara trap whats the point being warned after. What is the best Detector for best detection. in The subburbs. or which one overall.
hello friend here in Brazil has thousands of mobile radar was thinking about buying a detector escortredline but what it told me and best for radar here in Brazil?
I had a STi-R installed a couple of years ago, currently have 9500ci to test how good it is for WA (LOVE the GPS lockout) but will swap over with a STi-R plus shortly.
Seriously guys..if you can't watch the whole video before commenting, (or at least read the comments below) then don't bother...you're making yourself look stupid.
The Escort WAS moved high in later runs as seen at 4 minutes, 15 seconds into the video.
Another encounter captured on video with ONLY the redline running, and the result was not very impressive...won't be swapping for my V1 any time soon. New video will be up soon.
i think you shouldv tried it with just one turned on at a time to see if there is any kind of interfearnce from ecah other , it has happend to me runing 2 rd in the same car one will blind the other and usualy the beter one is afected meaning i had a x50 and a cobra and the cobra would alert first when both where on at the same time, very good video with chainging mounting locations thanks keep them coming!!!
You're right, if I had the more time that day (and a vertical bracket) then I would have run the Redline by itself without the V1 or 9500ci turned on.
Next time I find one of these cameras, that's what will be tested. But I figured if Radar Roy can review the Redline with the Valentine One also turned on, then so can I ;)
There are 5 totally undetectable (stealth) radar detectors available worldwide. Depends if you want a portable unit or an installed / built in hidden system.
If you listened to the whole video, I did mention that (unfortunately) we did not have a vertical bracket in that vehicle otherwise I would have tried mounting it vertically.
Next encounter with a Multanova I will film the comparison between the Redline "normal" and vertically mounted.
Needless to say with all the hype put out about the Redline it dissappointed me with it's poor performance on the Multanova..
I was kinda expecting that... escort still have not programmed a narrow ka scanning (euro mode) into their newest detectors - 9500ci and redline..... dont know why. Euro mode is really needed against the 6f, especially in rear setups, as you know mate., for example the 9500ci has the same antenna/receiver than the sti-r, but software is what does it in the end.

i am a Escort/beltronics Fan. i would have to say this test is very fair and the escort redline done very poorly
and the v1 came out tops

why whould you mount the v1 high and not the escort.?

What about mounting the Redline higher? There is some debate that if your detector is mounted higher you can get a better "range" or detection.

hi nice video !! little deception about the redline.try to mount it vertical ! the detection on photo radar will be better.

...something our European friends may find interesting and certainly a consideration in the purchase decision.
Why Escort don't offer euro mode / Ka-band selection when they clearly know their products venture further out than North America is beyond me...

ok sorry about that because i'm french and having hard time understand your kind of british accent keep on good worck !!
