@OmegamattShadowstar I don't see the point in "alpha" builds having bad effects. If you can spend a few days drawing, modeling, uv mapping, texturing then animating an in-game object (stargate or anything else), why would you not take the 15-30 minutes it takes to create a decent effect for it? And I haven't started modding SC2 yet, I'm still on the Unreal Engine 3 until SC2's price goes down a bit. $70 is a bit much just for one campaign imo.
@iSOBigD Nothing in there has been modeled yet. That's an object that comes with the map editor. He just added another in game effect and it looks pretty good.

this is just a optical revamp for the main idea of a stargate and playing on serval maps.
dont worry, for the real game later this will look way better, its just kind a placeholder...
