Hey guys i just want to say thats the cx 300 is a little bit better so i think because its isolate the sound out of the headphone better and the high voices are more exact than the voices by the sonys.
I also wanted to mention that the "s" voices aren't very well there are the sonys.
Btw I bought the sony too and my Brother the Cx 300 and itws really unfair than he just have to pay 25€ for those are better.

My dad's an engineer, i know how it works. Sony/Sennheiser order composers and put them together to make the earphones. Compare earphones double blind next time. Placebo in full effect here. You heard such clear audible differences from a few seconds of listening to one track? It could well be that the Sony earphones are considerably better but this comparison didn't show it.
Whilst the Seinheiser's cable is thicker rubber that is indeed easier to untangle, the vibrations travel up more like twanging cabling on a bridge- very annoying over music and worse when the player is off!
I would have like more of a street/gym test on the practicalities of the sony cable length and movement with the breakout cable and the cable tidy.
i just bought a pair of cx300's from amazon earlier today.
got them for around $25 shipped, which is half what i'd pay for the sony's.
i don't really plan on using them alot. . .but am going on vacation for a couple weeks and would rather not take my sennheiser cans with me, as they are far to bulky for outside the home lol.
though once you start using real nice sounding headphones, it's hard to ever go back to cheap ones. . .hopefully the cx300's will be good enough for my needs.

The songs that you purchased from iTunes have an awful quality (it's either 128kbps or 256kbps) If you want some better quality songs buy CDs and import it with an lossless format or an uncompressed.
I have the old sennhieser x300 ones (not the newer precision II ones) and I just bought these Sony ones after watching this review.
The sony ones sound TERRIBLE!! They are designed to bounce the sound waves through the plastic housing and into your ear. The cx300 ones direct the sound straight into your ear without obstruction or resonance within the earphones themselves.
The result is that the cx300 earphones deliver much clearer sound, whereas the sony ones sound muffled in comparison.
@infamousity with that i disagree i find these headphones very clear the senheisers are also very good but the sony's are more clear yet the senheiser sounds great but the sony's sound 100% natural the senheisers amplifie certain tones

OMG! I Just received my sony mdr-ex300 after a 2 month wait for delivery. I bought them on ebay for 12$ and I thought "Well it's a good deal", but SHIT, they sound lousy. I have A4tech mk-650 earbuds and compared to this sony earbuds they are great. I mean except the original headphones that came with my nokia 5310 express music only the a4tech ones are good enough to listen to. I just can't believe that the cheap 8$ a4tech earbuds sound better than a well known brand product.

wow lol. Sennheiser's top end models are all really high quality. IE8, HD800. They have some good stuff thats for sure. Although their budget stuff like the ones you probably bought are nothing to write home about. Average basically.

I've shopped around for earphones, and the sonys have always sounded better, the bass has always been their strong point. I think it's the diaphragm quality, and coil/magnet quality, if you take it apart and compare sony to others, the sonys have more throw, and thicker gauge windings as well as a larger magnet, for the same sized drivers.

I bought a pair of CX 500 last year, Compared against my new sony mdr Ex500LP, Sony wins again! though CX500 is only 25 quid and the mdrLP is almight 50 pounds
from Amazon market place for 19.99 they sound ok but when you check Sony site this video all the stuff I got is completely different. the sell said these are Chinese or Hong Kong retail version something along those line. CX300 are not all that great, from reading reveiws i thought yes why not get these i got them, they are ok but the bass is all muddy and not realistic... then i purchased the sony ex300 far better and feels better in your ear... good trebble, and the bass is awesome. enough said, Sony are good for low price headphones but sennheiser for high prices headphones.

cx300 means more bass.but it also gives you muddy and dull sound as well.on the other hand sony headphones gives you more cleaner bass,treable and overall sound.
JEsus christ just because you like the bass doesnt mean sony's ones ar better, people who like real music (in my opinion) like mozart bethoven and any music wich has a real melody (not just a bass) and a singer who's voice isnt so fucking terrible it has to be almost complitely modifided by computer would prefer cx300
1) All headphones take about 50 hours worth of use to hear what they really sound like. They have drivers that need to be worn in!!
2) The ear pieces are there because EVERYONE has different ears!! They don't fit "better" they fit you better!
3) Just because an earbud has more bass doesn't make it better, you like it better!! Everyone has different tastes!! Sennheiser headphones are built to sound more accurate!

sennheiser entry level headphones are SHIT and overpriced.examples of them cx300,px100,px200 all crappy thin sounding and very unrealiable.sony on the other hand has better entry-medium range headphones,but not many good high end ones,you don't know what u r talking about if u want accuracy go for grado not hyped sennheiser.they are just regular.and most of the time overpriced.
BEWARE of imitations of the MDR-EX300s on Ebay. Usually the people who ship from Hong Kong are the ones who the sell the fake ones. I own a genuine MDR-EX300LP/W and when I compared it closely with the fake ones I bought, I was able to tell the difference between them in appearance/structure and even in sound (although the fake ones did gave decent sound-the authentic ones sounded clearer and less bassier imo). The fake MDR-EX300s did not come with the headphone case shown in this video.
the ex300 take a while to break in.... after that they are amazing

I love the Sony MDR EX300's. The 13.5mm driver makes a huge difference!
I don't care for Sennheiser and I've tried a few models. I don't like them nearly as much as the Sony's.
I found an amazing deal at Geeks.(com). Sony MDR EX300 (refurb) for $15!
I was originally hesitant thinking the silicone parts might be used (gross!), But no, Everything, but the wires and plastic were 100% new!
They come with everything the new ones come with and are dirt cheap. I bought 4 more sets and all are great!

OMG! I Just received my sony mdr-ex300 after a 2 month wait for delivery. I bought them on ebay for 12$ and I thought "Well it's a good deal", but SHIT, they sound lousy. I have A4tech mk-650 earbuds and compared to this sony earbuds they are great. I mean except the original headphones that came with my nokia 5310 express music only the a4tech ones are good enough to listen to. I just can't believe that the cheap 8$ a4tech earbuds sound better than a well known brand product.

i bought the sony earbuds probably two months ago and honestly they are the only earbuds i have NEVER returned lol i have tried everything such as, bose in ear buds, sure's, other sony, and even beats by dre, and honestly nothing can compare i paid $80 for the sony and love em i listen to them with the new chocolate touch by LG, no better couple the chocolate touch has better quality than any ipod i have ever listened to.

havent had a chance to try the sony's, but i recently bought the sennheiser cx300s for about 20 dollars on amazon, and they are fantastic. they compare in almost all aspects to my previous headphones (shure se 115k) which sell for 90 dollars. no problems with them at all. nice clean bass and sound is very clear. maybe some of u guys got fakes. that model has been known to have alot of imitators. peace

I don't know but I bougjt one pair of sennheisers (original) and they did sound like SHIT. Really, reeally bad. I don't know, maybe I was very unlucky or something but now nothing will convince me to but this brand.

wow lol. Sennheiser's top end models are all really high quality. IE8, HD800. They have some good stuff thats for sure. Although their budget stuff like the ones you probably bought are nothing to write home about. Average basically.

does it hurt the ear bud internals to drop it on something, or hit on something? because a few times, ive been winding them onto my ipod and theyve hit the floor. just recently one side blew out. could that be why?

That's exactly what I wanted to hear.
I've shopped around for earphones, and the sonys have always sounded better, the bass has always been their strong point. I think it's the diaphragm quality, and coil/magnet quality, if you take it apart and compare sony to others, the sonys have more throw, and thicker gauge windings as well as a larger magnet, for the same sized drivers.
Even their $12US headphones are good.

from Amazon market place for 19.99 they sound ok but when you check Sony site this video all the stuff I got is completely different. the sell said these are Chinese or Hong Kong retail version something along those line. I haven't had a chance to go to Sony store. I did not get a pouch or bag whatever you call it and no headphone extension.

CX300 are not all that great, from reading reveiws i thought yes why not get these i got them, they are ok but the bass is all muddy and not realistic... then i purchased the sony ex300 far better and feels better in your ear... good trebble, and the bass is awesome. enough said, Sony are good for low price headphones but sennheiser for high prices headphones.

i had the CX300 and now i have the MDREX300 the reason i had the CX300 and not have is becuase the stupid rubber things all fell off with the MDR the rubber things are very secure

cx300 means more bass.but it also gives you muddy and dull sound as well.on the other hand sony headphones gives you more cleaner bass,treable and overall sound.

JEsus christ just because you like the bass doesnt mean sony's ones ar better, people who like real music (in my opinion) like mozart bethoven and any music wich has a real melody (not just a bass) and a singer who's voice isnt so fucking terrible it has to be almost complitely modifided by computer would prefer cx300

This is TERRIBLE!!
1) All headphones take about 50 hours worth of use to hear what they really sound like. They have drivers that need to be worn in!!
2) The ear pieces are there because EVERYONE has different ears!! They don't fit "better" they fit you better!
3) Just because an earbud has more bass doesn't make it better, you like it better!! Everyone has different tastes!! Sennheiser headphones are built to sound more accurate!
PLEASE GO AND LISTEN AT A GOOD STORE!! DECIDE FOR YOURSELF

sennheiser entry level headphones are SHIT and overpriced.examples of them cx300,px100,px200 all crappy thin sounding and very unrealiable.sony on the other hand has better entry-medium range headphones,but not many good high end ones,you don't know what u r talking about if u want accuracy go for grado not hyped sennheiser.they are just regular.and most of the time overpriced.

BEWARE of imitations of the MDR-EX300s on Ebay. Usually the people who ship from Hong Kong are the ones who the sell the fake ones. I own a genuine MDR-EX300LP/W and when I compared it closely with the fake ones I bought, I was able to tell the difference between them in appearance/structure and even in sound (although the fake ones did gave decent sound-the authentic ones sounded clearer and less bassier imo). The fake MDR-EX300s did not come with the headphone case shown in this video.
