It is absolutely Taweret ( Te;w'rt / Θουέρις) the Egyptian Goddess of birth and fertility. CHECK THIS OUT: Taweret was seen as one who protected against evil by restraining it. ( As Jacob protects against evil by restraining the Man in Black )

Originally Tawaret and Apep (evil) were a couple, but when Apep was recognized as evil she was then seen as 'chaining him'. Now, does that not fit %100 with the Lost mythology of Jacob, MIB etc?

Well in the season 5 finale she sets off a nuke and that statue is protecting preg women because it is a statue of Tawaret godess of fertility or something so when the statue was destroyed in the blast the goddess ceased to protect women giving birth on the island! so the others brought juliet to the island to stop preg women dying BUT maybe she was the cause of the thing she tried so hard to prevent!

Interesting theory but that can't be because when Juliet sets off the nuke, it destroys the island. Therefore there is no island in the future which brings us to the flash sideways where we see everyone's lives if the island didnt exist.

It's neat that's its a fertility statue, considering the fertility issues on the island. But the fertility problem didn't happen until after the dharma initiative sometime after the 70's.
