  • That would be me in 2112-wow

  • @flaboi2go it's actually more like 80 years old

  • I read she could remember Van Gogh coming in her fathers artists shop when she was 14 in 1889 She said he stunk of drink and was very bad tempered

  • Imagine how it'd be if your children die before you and even your grand-children, that could've happened to her...

  • I think to live too long like her must be quite sad, because a lot people, relatives, friends, people from her generation and etc...will pass out and you remain...can you figure out how sad it is?completely alone.

    Sad but awesome....

  • 120 god damn

thats being 60 years old, which is pretty old, for half your life. i dont want to live past 80

  • If she was born in 1887 she would die now. If she was born now, she would die in 2132

  • Ive recently read the biography of Harry Patch. He had this to say about longevity: All your friends you grew up with are dead. Even those of the generation beneath you are dying out. But the worst thing is the constant tiredness; as if life itself is a wearying task, and that to die is to (at that age) go to a well earned sleep.

  • Jeanne Calment (1875-1997)

  • The hunzakuts live to 140

  • @popupwool2 they do not, it's a myth :-)

  • @flaboi2go

Either thats not correct, or Americans are living shorter than Europeans.

Average male lifespan for the UK is 76-77 yrs.

  • u can be born in 1799 and die in 1901 ull be 101

  • i would have liked to be born in those times. 19th century, 18th century etc. I do not believe that mankind can reach into the 22nd century. in janueray 8th 2094 i will be 100 years old.

  • Thats if you live that long, the chances are that you wont, so i wouldnt worry about it to much.

Your what 16 years old? and your thinking about your 100th birthday!!!!! get a grip sunshine

  • did he say he's expecting to live tbat long?

  • everyone loves living but i think we all have our limits & decide to leave , i accept that

  • She lived longer than the Terminator could!!! Remember what Arnold said in T2? "...120 years with my existing power cell."

  • OMG - greatest comment on youtube, EVER!

  • Ahhhh, if we could all just replace our power cells,

  • @AgaMbadi, lol......you're absolutely right. I can't imagine being that age though. There is no one alive who was around at the time you were born. In fact, everyone you know could be old enough to be your children or even grandchildren. People who looked very young in the late 70's-early 80's look aged now............Jeanne Calment was past 100 at that time, wow!!!! She probably wouldn't look any older if she were to be alive today. I think she stopped aging back in the 1960's.

  • damn.. when my grandma was born in '33, jeanne calment was already 58!

  • Her husband died after eating a dessert with some poisoned cherries, her daughter passed away at 36 owing to a pneumonia.

  • i'D GIVE ONE!

  • wikipedia isn't always 100% true...!

  • She is Time's Mistress! I'm hoping some genius scientist find the aging gene so average lifespans can increase to 500 years or something like that. Life's too short.

  • How the hell can you say that life is to short, when you even haven't lived a third part of normal life length for a human yet? Wait until you are 60 and then say that life is too short. According to me, we don't have the right to live for 500 years, since it's a serious crime against nature...

  • when your old, I Think the fear of death is no longer present. But the will to live is still there.

  • She told once she wanted to die. She was blind and exhausted, I'm not sure you like living when you are in bad estate, old or not.

  • I'm betting she was a cougar.

  • Poor lady. :{

I'd rather be dead than to live on like that.

  • It's said on Wikipedia she smoked until she was 119 :-D

  • It's true, she did take up smoking in her 80s! There was a feature on her on a World Record show. Not just from Wikipedia!

I agree, at a certain age when you get as disabled as she became by 119-120, then life just isn't worth living that extra couple of years. She could only hear in one ear, which had to be shouted into at close proximity, and was almost completely blind. And wheelchair bound too.

  • sounds fun

  • @26highstreet hahahahahahahaha

  • In wikipedia it says that she knew Vincent van Gogh. Im not really sure if it's true but if it is, it's awesome.

  • Now, it's true, there is a vid where she explain that personally.

  • Amazing! she was like in her teens when the Eiffel tower were completed

  • That woman was dynamite!

  • You think she'd mind fixin' my breakfast?

  • DAMN!!!! she's hot!!!!!!

  • She's badass.

  • amazing. i just wish i could talk to someone who has been through so many things!! omg!! she was alive when Le Fantome was ruling the paris opera house.. holy crap. i want to interview an old person. :)

  • Cool, she was an undecagenarian!

  • noo sound moron, but yeh Jeanne Calment is a legend, she will be a honour to all of us forever. God bless Jeanne. RIP

  • i love that lady

  • Aww, man, she really lived her life! God Bless!!
