Damn I still remember when I first saw the vines.....About 2002.....Laying on the couch and first saw the video for Get Free....I thought they were funny and wack.....But damn I listened to the song again and again...And damn it was great......Then I bought the album and fell in love with their music......Absolutely great.....Love the VINES!!!!

To me this song is about being left on your own, and becoming independent too early, too soon in like, i think that's how Craig must've have felt when he found fame from one day to the other, and changed his life drastically turning into drugs to cope with all of his problems, in a personal way, i can relate to this song in a very deep level having the best memories from when i first heard it.

In '04 my girlfriend at the time introduced me to this song. A week or so later she had to go home to the USA (I'm in England) and I said my goodbyes at the airport. Once she'd gone out of sight it was one of the most lonely moments of my life, in an airport rush and knowing nobody other than the girl I had just let go. I listened to this song for almost four hours going home again. It got me through the journey.

This song makes me think of not just home sick but .. missing the ones you love.

Kurt Cobain is completely overrated and there is no similarity between the lifestyles or the music. All of Kurt's music is repetitive to the point of annoyance. The chorus in his songs is basically the whole song. If anything, The Vines slightly resembles The Beatles.
