go to start menu, click my documents (or documents idk which it is on ur computer but on mine its my documents), go to my games, click fallout 3, and go into fallout.ini and look for usenewterrainsystem and itll say something like usenewterrainsystem = 1, change the 1 to a 0, then save and close, then go to falloutprefs.ini and do the same, lol and thats how u do it if u dont wna download anything, thumbs up this if it helps :D (got me like 15 fps lol and i use gma 4500m)

Hey guys, I got this broken laptop, that I could fix, and here's it's specs, do you think it'd be worth like 100USD to save?

Microprocessor Cache: 2 MB L2 Cache

Video Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

Video Memory: 1759MB

Will it be able to run Hl2/gmod and other similar games at maybe like 30 fps? on like 1280x720 with medium settings?

@Chipmunkshows Did you overclock this. I have the same exact card and I was also wondering how much video ram you have, I only have 192mb of video ram on mine. ( just to throw this out there, Yougamers is saying that I only have 192mb of video ram and CanYouRunIt is saying I have 1.3gb of video ram, which is insane imo.

The Intel cards have NO videoram, they just share the systems ram.

@Usul573 Actually Your Wrong, My Mothers Laptop Has 3GB Of Ram And 1.5GB Of VideoRam Specifically Stated On The Box.. Its A Compaq Presario CQ61 And IT Definatly Is VideoRam I Checked To Avoid A Derogatory Response

Sometimes it's confusing since the Intel chips can borrow up to 1.7 GBs of RAM to use as video RAM.

That's literally what Intel graphics are though, Integrated chips that share memory.

If you can tell me exactly what the chipset is and exactly what the graphics are we could clear it up.

@Usul573 Its The GMA 4500M Series 4 Chipset. I Have The Same Card In Mine And It Borrows From My RAM But I've Used About 4 Different Checks WIth My Mothers (Because I Thought It Was Weird Seen As Its Integrated. But They All Said 3GB RAM And 1.5GB Video RAM. Not One Instance Of It Being Shared. And One Mention Of It Being Dedicated VideoRAM.

@Usul573 Hmm Thats Interesting I Was Sure It Wasn't Integrated As When You Have Some Sort Of Monitoring Programme Up Whilst Playing a Game It Always Showed The Full 3GB Of RAM Available.. And Also The Other 1.5GB On The Side

@Usul573 Yeah It Has The Intel Integrated Card But, It Has Its Normal RAM Of 3GB Then It Has Dedicated RAM of 1.5GB. That Is Used For The Card Although Im Not Sure Why As Its A Terrible Gaming Card. I Know This For A Fact As It Was One Of The Reasons We Bought The Laptop In The First Place. It Even Says Total RAM 4.5GB

@Usul573 No Its Just The GMA 4500 Mobile. But It Hes Dedicated VRAM. Its Weird Its There As Its Inaccessible For Anything Other Than VRAM I Know It Only Usually Occurs In High End Cards As I Have A Self Biult Rig With A 1GB 250GT

@lostmodz26: Most people are going to suggest against that, IIRC. Even though the GMA 4500MHD is finding passable performance in some games, I really think that you should go for an ATI or NVidia GPU, even if they're integrated.

Still best to get a decent card though.
