I killed the laser barrage node first...then hit the CPU with shurakins with Edge...it worked rather well. They STILL didn't fix that float bug..when you are in the caves in the underworld you have to cast float between every level..I thought they would fix that this time around. I just started my 3rd time and the goblin suit isn't in my inventory. Good game..good story...good characters... I wish they didn't make the male characters look all gay... hah.

For me it's: Enter's battle, Attack Node uses Laser Barrage, kills Edge and Fusoya. Cecil and Rosa uses Raise, Rydia uses Elixers, Rosa was in the process of casting Arise, then Attack Node uses Laser Barrage, I die. HELP!!!

@11isOver9000 It's the opposite. The DS version is much harder, but enemies give more EXP so you level somewhat faster. Try fighting Lugaborg, the DS version is such a huge bitch.

he uses reflect because if u atttack the cpu directly it will most likely kill one of your people were as if u used it on reflected cecil then he gets major damage ☺

You know that the SNES version was a special easy mode edition of the game, where levels were easier to get, enemies did less damage, among other differences, AND in that version of the game the attack CPU did utterly negligible damage while the defense CPU healed for 10 times as much as it does in the DS version, hell, in the DS version the attack CPU's laser barrage hits as hard as Zeromus's big band in the SNES version of the game, although laser barrage doesn't cause sap

Well this fight I was in my 50s on everyone, so naturally laser took out everyone but Cecil. I just phoenix down Edge and used the Fumas which did 9999 with one hit from Cecil took out the attack node, good luck! Oh by the way the Shuriken cost A LOT so be sure you want to use it at this time.

I have Cecil and edge at 55, rydia and 54, rosa at 53, and fusoya at 50, and all but cecil get wiped by the laser barrage. so i say no. Train on the monsters first, staying near the save point and buying cottages from namingway.

i put FuSoYa, Rosa, and Rydia in the back, and the only mage who survives is rosa, who i think has the most health of my party mages. the only other person who survives is Cecil, and he is the tank (especially with the Defender sword [best sword i have at the moment]), so that is kinda to be expected.

Actually, once I figured it out, this battle isnt that hard... All you have to do is ignore the "We have to kill the defense node, first" admonition that Rydia or Rosa (I can't remember who says it.) gives you. Forget that. Kill the attack node first with the mages Firaga attacks and the others melee attacks. Use Edge's throw attack against the CPU along with everybody elses attacks. Then kill the defenseless "defense" node with melee attacks.

I like your stratergy but dosent flare cost alot of mp? I remember doing this battle though twas annoying. Another good way is to cast slow on the healing node and hold on the attack node im not sure if hold effects the attack node but it should work. Then just get fu soya to use dispel on the cpu and your free to beat them sense less
