I really didn't think that Metroid Prime was the hardest boss. I found Meta Ridley and the Omega Pirate much more challenging.

@grievousrocks I think i heard somewhere that it was a Metroid that was in the impact crater that feeds on or got energy and mutated from the phazon from the meteor. So I think that it is just a mutant metroid. And they just kind of came up with the "Prime part."

@TheChronos17 well, it is a metroid, if you go through the trouble of scanning all the things you read the pirate things and it tells you that while mining for phazon they found z-d (the metroid prime) and they experimented with it, putting lots of phazon in it, making it grow in size, and thats how we get this huge mfer

i never find him when he gets invisible. sure i use x-rays but he is not there most of the time. cant find him. and those normal metroids always attack me :(

Yeah, I could never understand why he wouldn't show up on the x-ray half the time the first time I played this. I still beat him first try but the battle lasted FOREVER, like 20 minutes long. Then I found out that you also have to check the thermal visor and I felt really stupid lol

they really could have given metroid prime (the inner escence) a wider range attacks instead of just a wave of low damage fire and easy to destroy metroids. Omega pirate was similar, but he was extremely strong unlike metroid prime. (the inner escence)

Actually, I hate when he goes into Wave mode the msot: Wave beam, when you add it's firing rate, is the weakest of the beams. Case in point: when he does those slow, homing sphere things, and he's in Wave mode, I switch to any other beam, because it takes too many shots to break those with Wave Beam.
