  • the 2000s dr theme just dont work for me at all and him snogging his compannions is not on.

  • sylvester is my second favorite after colin baker.

  • @TheLymphocyte I dunno man, his delivery of the "If they're dead" line from Battlefield is toe-curling.

  • To be fair, McCoy has some cracking lines... "Unlimited Rice Pudding, etc, etc...".

  • Sylvester would of been my dr in the 80s if i was born back then

  • He was mine - although I was never a big fan of Bassets Allsorts around that time; strange that!

  • how did they animate this??

  • computer

  • I like this theme, but it should really have the opening bassline like all of the other themes. And McCoy is the best Doctor.

  • McCoy was my least favorite Doctor. Tom Baker was the most talented Doctor then and still is now. Look at what he had to work with. He didn't need a companion to lean on like some of the other Doctors. He was and still is the only Doctor to have a complete story without a companion. Probably one of the best Doctor Who Stories. If you haven't seen him in "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger", check it out.

  • Colin Baker was the worst: the stories became boring and audience figures slumped, plus he came across humourless and arrogant. Sly Mc Coy at least tried to bring some humour to the role, but he was blighted with daft storylines, terrible scheduling and the BBC's desire to slowly kill the show.

  • you realise thats due to his producer and writers. his producer, john nathan turner forced the coat on him, and forced the writers to write stories guest stars would like (cough RTD is the same cough)

  • Also Michael Grade hated the show and decided to wreck it for good by placing it against Coronation St, in the days when Corrie pulled in 18 million viewers and any opposition wilted. The use of guest stars, such as Richard Briers as a fascist commissionaire, wrecked it as the stories became stupider.

  • Dr. McCoy? From Star Trek? get it haha!

  • I think Baker had the better appearance of The Doctor and would have been better than McCoy if he had been around for the technology and scripts written for McCoy, but McCoy had the benefit of better times--the show was just considerably more perfected while he was there. Baker had more charisma, but that doesn't make the entire show. I suppose I prefer Baker by himself, but I'll take McCoy with his series.

  • What Fenric & say that again!

  • h ewas the ruddy best u noob

  • true

  • McCoy was the best Doctor, I mean they say that for something to be a hit half the people have to love it and the other half have to hate it.

  • i liked the theme

  • One of my favorite Doctor Who theme and title sequence ever it's late 80s nostalgia - classic. Techno is a good description.

  • Too techno for me.

  • the king of the beavers the king of the beavers you can not deceive us and you cant fool owls

  • the king of the beavers the king of the beavers the king of the beavers and you can't fool owls

  • Disco Doctor Who =]

  • I have to agree with gooseholla1 this is such a great theme and title sequence :)

  • Ah these were the ones I grew up with. bloody marvellous theme and title sequence.

  • sounds like a kazoo and a swarm of bees but the graphics are brill for the time

  • best one of the 10 doctors!

  • Here Here!! Though I think it's a bit of a minority group,ha!

  • He's in my top 5 - probably number 2 or 3!

  • this is my fave title

  • Lol did they?I forgot

  • pity they didnt do the re-generation thing with Christopher Ecclestone when David Tennant took over

  • They did! lol

  • those computer grathcs must of cost a fortune back then... thet really was cutting edge when i was a kid.

  • hey, where's the website you've listed on the bottom of the vid

  • i grew up watching tom baker so i am bias towards

  • Underated Doctor

    2nd only to Tom Baker

  • Everyone seems to think that he is underrated, I'd say that he is third to Bill and Colin.

  • Underated Doctor

  • Underated Doctor.

  • Definately underrated Doctor! No doubt second best to Tom Baker only! Too bad they killed off Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor in that lame FOX made for TV movie in the '90s. :(

  • best theme pisses over every other theme

  • second best doctor to Tom Baker only

  • underrated doctor

  • Underated Doctor.
