  • awesome playing

  • Fantastic job on the iconic guitar solo for my lifetime. Around 1972 I bought an SG Standard just like the one Kath is pictured with on the inside cover of the CTA album. Stupidly sold it five years later. Any idea what setup Terry actually used for the recording? Thanks for sharing this video.

  • GREAT!

  • Precisely as good as Terry himself.

  • Do you supply tabs on your dvd's?

  • Now THAT was entertaining! Thanks for all the hard work you put in.

  • Killer playing I think the guy was being sarchastic about the feeling its spot on and you play great I was just working this tune up..

    Fantastic playing.

  • Smokin'

  • Excellent!

  • I've been wowed by this solo for over 35 years but I've never seen it played. Now I'm finally sitting down to learn it, but yours is a tough act to follow. Bravo.

  • Holy Cr@p Batman... that was beyond awesome. It was note for note... screw the naysayers who want feeling. It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks for your videos, they have helped me greatly!

  • That was fantastic! How long did it take you to get it down? I love this solo. In my next life when I hope to be a better guitarist, this is on my list to learn.

  • I got that same guitar its amazing easy to play on and perfect for my/that style! :D

  • Very nice. One of the greatest studio solos, ever. If you're going to learn one note for note, that's a great song to learn from.

  • @jh271055 well it's a toss up... I have to remain still for the viewer if I want to show the licks for others to clearly see...

  • @playguitarsolos I got the feeling!! People dont seem to realize feeling is in them not the other guy. Your playing has feeling. I can feel it! And i know you do

  • @jh271055 I was wondering if you could do me a favor and post a video of you playing this incredible solo with feeling. I think I must be missing something here and judging by your comment something is obviously missing so if you will please demonstrate. Anxiously waiting!

  • can anyone help me figure out from 0:04 through 0:08

  • @mgsdini95 It's a typical blues lick... you use the G and E string (3rd and 1st) and basically just play the notes from the underlying chord. In this case it's C chord, so you play 12th fret on both strings, then 11th fret on both, then 10th on both, and finally the 9th on the G string with the 8th on the high E string. So the first 2 notes played are G and E, from C chord, and the ending resolving notes are again from the C chord, the E and C note. Hope this helps...

  • This is about my favorite solo, of all the hundreds of great ones, good job playing it. thanks
