I'd never heard this or any other song by the Jam before I recently watched the original Billy Elliot. It's rare to hear lyrics like these set to such joyous music!

If only we could honestly say that punk/gunge/alternative had morphed into the sort of New Wave phenomenon that the Jam were part of by now. This song alone beats everything by Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day and Blink 182 rolled together, and it doesn't even include a guitar solo! LOL!
