  • Some people I play with use real sapi plates because they are cops and have them for when on duty and use them to add to the realism by adding weight

  • @spritegamer and your point is?

  • hey i just have a question, private message me if possible or just reply to this comment, but if i have double ply cardboard should i still use 4? also do u make all cut outs cut ought the same shape? finally, i have a plate carrier that accepts 10X13 plates how would i cut that?

  • @skibum1610 use 2 if its double ply. yes, make all the cutouts the same shape. i have no idea. look up wut a 10x13 plate looks like

  • @SYSTEMAairsoft thanks man! my plate carrier came today so thanks!

  • @skibum1610 no prob.

  • how do they feel when out playing, do they get hot? i imagine they minimize airflow?

  • @zenkicookies i wear em all the time and they dont bother me.

  • @SYSTEMAairsoft : ok, because iv been wearing a plate carrier for years, but with no plates in it, and of course as im sure you know, when plate carriers get older and used alot the material starts to get soft, well i thought if i put fake sapi plates like these that my plate carrier would regain its shape again and be a more stiff rig that doesnt move around alot when im running, im just afraid ill overheat lol

  • @zenkicookies i havnt over heated yet and i wore my carrier to OKI6 last year with them. I like keeping my carrier ridgid.. makes it look more realistic too.

  • @SYSTEMAairsoft : cool, thanx for the quick responses man.

  • @zenkicookies no prob.

  • thanks for the video man! i was gunna buy fake ones but this looks MUCH easier

  • @skibum1610 no prob. been using mine for a year now.. :)

  • In my metals\tech class I made these with sheet metal and a plasma cutter, then welded 3 of the plates together so I had 1 for the front&back. theyre great

  • I use actual Level IV plates in my rig

but its expensive and a big pain in the ass to lug around for hours haha

  • Use plywood. One inch thick, 12.5 by 9.5. You'll need to get the corners off at approximately 45 degrees. You had all your measurements wrong and the wrong materials.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny honestly, its all a matter of preference. you cant tell me i used the wrong materials since you made yours differently. On another note, i used a form "plate" that came with the PC for my measurements. All and all, it doesnt matter what materials you use, it matter whether you like the finished product or not. Also, cardboard and ducktape seems to conform to the body better than plywood and is easier to find lying around the house than plywood.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny plywood doesnt slightly bend...otherwise its a little awkward

  • thanks bro, you saved me from spending $30 on a square hunk of useless plastic :] Can you make a vid of you actualy putting it in your carrier and wearing it? i want to get an idea of what it should look like and how much mobility it would affect.

  • @MOSTLYxTOAST I think my last loadout video has them in the plate carrier although i didnt show me putting them in.

  • cheers dude shall give it a go...

  • @FossilFuel73 all right!good luck!
