Waiiit a minute, if Adamas Viper was shot down.... how did it end up in a scrapyard, than recovered by the Galactica Crew and given to Commander Adama in the mini series....
@Spartanz1170 Actually, Adama's Viper was scraped by the Cylon Raider and crashed when its tail section was clipped off. Anyway, to answer your question: The First Cylon-Human War ended immeditely after this battle was fought with a peace treaty being signed by the Cylons (which was a really a trick from them). Right after the battle, the Colonials went down to the planet and picked up Adama, the human survivors-and his Viper. Fixed it up and sent it to the Colonies. :)
@themosh54 Actually, it's set in 'our calendar' 1970 (ish). Which was the beauty of the way BSG was set up.
So. NEW BSG was set in (our calendar) 2003 onward. By the time they got to Earth at the end it was 2009. And - as such - earth was depicted as modern day.
These webisodes are set in a time when our world (in BSG) would be hitting the last 70's or early 80's.
So technically it's all 'present day' rather than 150,000 years ago.
I want all of you to notice the GREAT similarities to the hand-to-hand combat scene that the young Adama has with that Cylon and the one he later has with the Leoben Cylon in the mini-series.
"All of this has happened before and will happen again!"
@WatchRyder However, the original series type Cylons look way better in this than they did in Classic Galactica. Also, this has neither filler plots barely adapted from spaghetti westerns nor Galactica 1980.
They are fighters able to flight both in space and in atmospheres , in space when you eject you simply remain floating arround.. in atmosphere a parachute can slow down your fall to safe levels..
Whats wrong with that? Galactica allready stablished that when one thing works well why change it

And then he reprograms it and calls it cyrus! Oh wait that's galactica 1980

Why couldn't the new series have the old cylons?! THEY LOOKED AND SOUNDED MORE BADASS!!!
KRandMJ 1 year ago
You'd think, being that it's in the future, that instead of a parachute he'd have some kind of jet pack strapped to his back.
chaseduran 2 years ago
@chaseduran Except Galactica was trying to be more realistic. Plus a chute is more useful in a variety of atmospheres.

@chaseduran - Um, actually it's about 150,000 years in the past :)

Bill "Husker" Adama has been wrecking chrome toaster ass his entire life, it would seem. :D

"Come on, motherfrakker!"
Nico Cortez as Lt Adama kicked ass.
Now THERE'S who should've played Apollo on the show.
Can I get a damn straight?

Damn Straight!.
espp1973 2 years ago
@Steven5812 Frak no, because having the man's son and his younger self look identical would be STUPID.

@ZeldaTheSwordsman Hey, Jolene Blalock played T'Pol's grandmother in that Enterprise episode, and hardly anyone complained.
Steven5812 1 year ago
@Steven5812 Well, Enterprise (and Star Trek in general) is a different breed of Science Fiction.

wow a cylon centurion can survive a free fall from such an altitude without parachute and it gets destroyed by a few skilled kicks???
pat1981lux 2 years ago
Nah dude, the centurion took heavy damage by the crash, so he couldn't put on much of a fight.
Afterall, falling is not really the issue when jumping without a parachute, but landing.

Although I prefer the older BSG version that scene was pretty cool. I prefer the look of the older version cylon than the newer ones

What happened here? Did someone give a bunch of twelve year olds part of the production budget and tell them to do what they wanted?
This is really dumb- nothing like the main show. At first I thought it was some fan-fiction bullshit.
