i think this was quite hard because he had to control the ball which was going the other way with one hand only, never palming it, just using the speed and momentum and the swing of his arm to keep it in his hand and then having just about enough distance over the rim to throw it in. Iggy on the other hand i think caught it with two hands for control and switched to one to finish
FOR THE IDIOTS ARGUING ABOUT RACE HERE..WHERE YOUR FROM DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR FUCKING RACE...EVERY COUNTRY IS JSUT LIKE AMERICA...PEOPLE OF SPANISH DESCENT ARE MIXED..BUT NOT ALL OF THEM..MOST ARE OF FULL EUROPEAN ANCESTRY AKA WHITE..ANDD YES MANY ARE DARK..CHANCES ARE RUDY IS WHITE..SO YOUR TRYING TO TELL ME PAU ISNT WHITE??? Not shown in the video was that it took at least 6 tries to complete the dunk. If he landed it the first or second time, he would've gotten in the high 40's.
Also, I wonder if the dunk was too reminiscent of Iguodala's better version of it in 2006.
This actually looks like a better version (with Rudy getting the alley from behind the backboard) of DeMar DeRozan's showstopper last year (the one that got all 10s)
xDDD mexico was spain, spain is in europe like england or france and spain helped to the use to have the independence from england. the american are english lol.
Your memories are foggy guys...... his first dunk was weak. Anyone who can dunk can throw it off the backboard and dunk. The dunk in THIS video, he missed EIGHT times..... the full 2 minutes expired and they gave him another chance...... put this in after the = sign in your youtube video and watch 2dKIImaubgI
@5allanleeclemons5 You're right, because like we all know, Spain is in South America, next to Mexico...isn't it???....You should go to school and learn where is Spain, and were is Europe. Paleto de mierda.
@Mrbeatles1991 ur an idiot..u really think everyone in spain is one race..people who are of spanish descent..yes many are dark north african featured..but most are european looking dont be an idiot..dont act like all of them are dark
@Mrbeatles1991 Most of us are white, dark hair, dark eyes, more tanned than anglosaxons and german races, but not so different. Anyway it wouldnt be a problem if we were darker ;-) BTW Im really proud to see spanish players like Calderon, the Gasols, Rudy (I expect more from him) & Ricky doing so good in the NBA. Its getting popular over here, and thats not easy compared to the attention that football gets (soccer if you want to put it the american away).
Im Spanish and i seriously dont think the points given by the judges are motivated by racist thoughts. What I do think, is that there was a clear favoritism towards Griffin. And yes, he didnt do it in his first try, but Pau was the one responsible for that.
nah. i couldnt give that a straight 50. see ur looking at it for its creativity, but u gatta also lok at it for its power and other things. its good though
Players that could do this dunk on the first try: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, Shannon Brown, Blake Griffin, Dominique Wilkins, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Carmelo Anthony, Shawn Kemp, Jamario Moon, Gerald Green, Julius Erving, Andre Iguodala...
@ElmonoLocoNota if you don't think Pippen could do that you need help. Pippen coast to coasts it every time he had a chance. He is an underrated jumper because he was on the same team as Jordan.
@Tmangman1 I agree 100% Pippen is underrated, one of the most polyvalent players ever!

QQer spainiards, he went OFF THE TIME !!! he had like 60 secs or something, he failed a lot of times... time went off and everybody agreed to give him another try. Please look at what really happened before nerd-raging. And even if he made it on 1st try is not for a 50, it's a hard dunk but he has no grace at all.
He got robbed just like derozan, all nate robinson does is jump over people taller than him and does the same dunks that have been done over and over again
@sherwynds lol, I get what your saying, but it kind of loses its effect when one of the lines is "all he does is dunk over people taller than him", lol
VC is the bar and im sure VC would give that an 8. i would give it a 9 but he did try like 10 times to make it, which to me ruins the dunks element of surpise.
He tried it too many times. If he can dunk it at all that means he could have dunked it on the first try. He has Pau throwing it behind his back and it took him several tries. That is what deducted points. First try would have been a 47-48 for sure. The persona of a good dunker is that he is not trying hard. Rudy tried hard to land that one.
he didn't even do it in the time limit, they gave him two more attempts after the time limit, get off rudy's dick he did one good dunk and it took more attempts than chris andersen
ppl dont realize how hard this dunk is until they actually do it.....its really hard,u need to hang from the back of the net to the front n u only using one hand
the time ran out and once it runs out the dunker gets two more dunk attempts
he made this dunk on the first try of the two
and it does matter on which dunk attempt he actually finishes because that must mean he gets lucky on the dunk or that he just didnt practice it enough
The judges knew the winner before the contest began!
The teabag dunk has been done many times, and for years the judges have preached creativity. Rudy's was by far the most creative dunk! I love the NBA, but it has a long way to go before I would consider it legit!
@cdunjo i don't expect him to make it first try but i do expect him to get it done in a few trys and i also think he should have used someone else who actually knows how to pass well
