I began rooting for the Sox, thinking it'd be a lost cause, and to our surprise, they not only won the pennant, but also the World Series.
It took us 60 years, but it was well worth the time to finally even the score with the Cleveland Indians! And like the 1948 Cleveland Team, we also went on to win the World Series after taking the American League Pennant.
