oh wow, thats just awesome. We are expecting our third and having an at home birth as well, and you have made me feel so empowered and more prepared to do this! Awesome job!!
It was totally empowering. I will never give birth any other way, if I have anything to say about it! You'll do great just listen to your body and relax. You're gonna do great! You were divinely designed to do this!
Thanks for sharing your video. You were so strong. They say you forget about the pain once you lay eyes on your little bundle of jly and that definitely seemed the case with you. I hope that I handle it as well as you when I have a baby.
It was the best moment of my life. I can't imagine ever having a baby any other way than in the comfort of home with the love of family surrounding me!
You're gonna do great, and I know you'll be a great mom, too!
This is a wonderful video sweetie! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I cannot wait to have my baby boy and hold him! This video made me so emotional! You are so brave and you did amazing! He is so beautiful! LOL at your cat!
I am so happy to share it with all you mommies-to-be! I know you all are going to be such good moms.
That is Harley, my sweetest cat I ever had, he was so curious throughout the labor and delivery. He was attached to me and Isaac after the birth. Sadly, he died last Mother's day. So glad I have footage of him to remember him and his role in this momentous occasion.
That was beautiful. I cried when your husband was saying he could see him and when I heard his cry. I can't wait for my turn. I wish I had the guts to video tape. We are going to have my mom take pictures but that's about it.
Thanks so much. I hope it is an inspiration to you and other mommies to be. No matter what path you take to get there, you're gonna have a beautiful, healthy baby at the end of it all. And that is all that truly matters.
I agree; I have footage of Brad and I with Isaac after the birth that was not G rated. It will not be available for the public, but we plan to make a birth DVD for our family.
Well the problem with that is I am only going to have my fiance and my mom in the room when the baby is born. & I don't want him doing anything but helping me through it, & he is also delievering the baby. So my mom can only do one or the other and I'd rather have pictures. Maybe for my next baby, because I would like to do a home birth the second time around : )
Yes you can! I am so excited for you. This is going to be the best experience of your life. I felt so strong and empowered after giving birth especially having a home birth free of drugs and cords everywhere.
Planning on doing a L&D detail vlog...would that interest people, you think? Anyway, to answer your questions, I had Isaac 2 days past his due date and he was 6 lb. 14 oz.
That's why I think that one's baby comes when they are ready. We live at over 6,000 ft. So babies tend to be smaller up here on average. He would have been bigger had I had him a sea level.
omg props for having and all natural home birth and standing. Your really strong for doing that and especially that your doing it twice lol. Thanks for sharing the vid. I got teary eyed of course lol as I do everytime I see one of these vids. I'm gonna be a total mess when I have mine lol.
Aw...I cried earlier when I was editing. It was the first time I got to see the footag since having him...it was a lot to go through. I feel like standing really helped with the pushing...gravity and all! Hardest part for me was the pushing...laboring was a piece of cake!
Aw...Thanks...I hope it inspires other women that they can do it, too. Even in the hospital, you can have the birth you want and cherish every minute of it.
thanks so much for sharing. Beautiful peaceful birth.

Why? too expensive? I don't understand why...it is so much cheaper than the hospital.

I say to video tape it, you don't have to show it to anyone, but it will be a great memory for you and for your child in years to come.
