  • ...5 year old Dell 5160, ...been in a tropical environment for five years and never serviced, cleaned. ...owner has never even unscrewed or identified basic parts in their life but would like to learn how to do it on their own.

...sticky stuff all over keyboard and on (terrible for your eyes) screen...LOUD fan...maybe even critters crawling around....

    ...but still works relatively well.

Which video of yours to start with?

Must all data be backed up prior?

  • lol my dog spilled urine on my laptop

can it still be fixed eventhough its corrosive

  • Awesome

  • I have a laptop and it won't turn on. It turned on when it had a broken screen. I replaced the screen, battery, and power button board. Thats when it stopped working. It won't make a sound when I press the power button. No light. Its getting power from the ac adapter. What could be wrong?

  • have u checked the voltage coming on the board from the dc sockets? its most likely caps or voltage regulators.

  • if you can fix the laptop for me i would subsribe you immediately i spilled juice and turned of the compute imeediately and switch on again i saw a grey screen i used alchohol to clean and many thing but it stilld doesn;t work and i saw a bit smoke when i was cleaning

  • thanks " shokraan " i have a question my freind had spilled coffee on his keyboard we tried to replace it but it didn't work so we reached a conclusion that the keyboard controller on the motherboard was damaged is their any way to fix it salam

  • I am afraid the best way is to replace the whole keyboard with a new one or a second hand one

once liquid is spilled on keyboards and they start mallfunctioning there is noway back, but because they're cheap to buy its not worth the time to repair.

  • that's amazing how did u have this idea? i mean who would have thought you can wash ur motherboard and then back to using it again?! ur 1 mil $ engineer :D
