  • Der längste und schönste Walzer der Welt :-)

  • Ich war damals so veliebt.

  • Thanks for this video,

For me it was real nostalgic for me too. I worked with Tribute as light manager on the Swedish tour in 1986. I remember this music very well.

I have been in contact with Gideon and Christer just last year 2009. They have been very successful on their own separate paths.

The whole band was (and still are) amazing musicians.

  • What ever happened to the band? I saw them in Hamburg in 1985. They were the talk of the town and then they somehow disappeared. Did they pursue solo careers? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @usmmahnke

Tribute struggled with financial and private problems for very long and in the end Christer and Gideon, the very core of Tribute, followed their own paths in other directions. Gideon and Dag played together in a band called Quilty for some years. Christer Rhedin is now famous conductor, arranger in the Musical Scene here in Sweden. Gideon Andersson lives in Norway, as popular leader of a music School. Pierre Morlene played in his own band Gong until he tragically died in 2005.

Dag Westling and Gideon Anderson played in a folk group called Quilty. Isaw them in Helsingborg 5-6 years ago

  • Thank you so much, its great to meet them again after all those years; you gave me back small pieces of the best time of my life.

  • Wow, what nostalgia. A childhood friend of mine played keyboard with these guys for a while and I listened to them live in Linköping once upon a time. I also used to run into Gideon at Ebersteinska high-school now and then. But I had forgot how good they actually were. I find myself returning to these clips after a friend sent me the link. -A
