@hidrokiliak Red Dragonsword will give a better fight as it has the same attack bonus but dragon element added. that's what the Lao is weak to anyway.

@hidrokiliak what game are you playing? i think different MH require different materials. if it's MH1 on PS2 then the servers that are needed to acquire the materials are down, unless you opened them somehow...

Anyway it evolves from a Fire Dragonsword which needs:

Lao Shan horn x1 Firestone x 20 and Commendation x 5 to create. Red Dragonsword will need a further 3 horns, 20 firestones and 5 commendations.

A Lao SHun-Lung plate to start.. online exclusive, eh? You have to Clear all your Quests, make a Mono Piece of armor a Vespoid Piece, theres another one but i forget.

To kill it you could simply hammer its stomach. And using Laos hammer for example, you wont need to use power seeds,balista etc.

He is right,lao and lao+ are easy to solo and repel,it's nothing special,You can't actually kill lao with 1 person you need at least two and at that it's still hard.I did it once lol,cause I had an amazing gunner who tripped it a lot and I just bds it's head and we killed before he got to the wall...but I've done it with 4 ppl and haven't kill -.-
