@KanonXD Doente mental.
Maiores eventos do mundo? Formula 1, Formula Indy todos os anos. Esse ano UFC (Rio) e Miss Universo (São Paulo)... Copa do Mundo 2014... Olimpiadas 2016.
When the oil runs dry, well good by Monaco of Africa, hello just Africa. Africa will never develop, I wonder why colonialism ever ended. Many of the countries were better off as colonies.
@malosalele eww, screw you and your colonialism. I'd rather see people suffering with their own land than being enslaved and colonized by "strangers".
@roquemoz1 Well then that's just what you have in Africa today, niggers starving and killing each other. Way to go Africa, you've achieved your freedom. Well not really because your still living on are handouts....
@go311 of course all you know is starvation and killings. Unfortunatly, not all is that bad and proof is part of this vid shows a different side of Africa, where wealth abound. Before freedom, there are hard times, ask the tea party before the american revolution, the french have a story before their own revolution and Europe knows a word or two before the industrial era. Every race has its course and it takes small steps to go far
@malosalele The sugar plantation & conton ended yet Europe and America still developed. The industrial era ended yet the west still developped. Actually, colonization never benefited africans, it benefited the colonizers and when they were leaving, at least physically, they set the continent to fail. Despite all the odds, trial and error for the post independance time, africa has a growing number of highly educated people who attended some of the best universities in the world.
@malosalele The last 10 years have been characterized by an economic growthand this is due to a generational change in leadership, from post colonial leaders who were not educated to a generation that never knew colonialism but also very educated. Change is taking place and even world financial insitutions have noted that, at least if you bother to read you would have read it
if the Angolan countryside was cleared of mines, rural workers could be providing the country with food. instead, these same people must come into the city to perform lowly chores in an effort to pay for imported products.
Still too far to be the Monaco of Africa, but anyway, I am pleased that the Angolans, are leading the country to prosperity, the same way the Portuguese were doing up to 1975. the peace only arrived in 2002, and it will take nearly 15 years for the country to show solid signs of growth.
fuck u!!!!mind your own business...mind your own country let us angolans solve our problems...what gives you the right to come to our country and critique us???
fuck you too!! the oil is gonna end and people are gonna laugh at you, you should focus on POVERTY, fighting agaist poverty than build all those skyscraper.
@lito6998 No I am not saying that you fool, what I am trying to say is that your govern is eating/spending your oil money and building those skyscrapers while 14 million people need more food. got it?
@roquemoz1 Building buildings brings investors, investors bring money for the government and economy of the country, the more money the government has, the more jobs it can create, the more jobs= the less poverty= happy day.
I just wanna see what will happen, when oil goes way low and the thousand of luxury houses stay empty waiting for poor people to occupy them and destroy... Why? But WHY? not invest in the people and make it at least a bit better for them so there is social stability?
And the realestate is with handfull of whites? with a few controlling the wealth, no growth is real growth. No national GDP is of any use unless it helps people to uplift their life. Anyways the whiles would be taking their earnings out of Angola. Was that n't how the richness of London, Paris, Amsterdem were built by robbing poor but resourceful countries? This is still remeniscence of colonialism. Son of the soil get robbed and if you question back, you will be in black list of white-house.
This is the worst city I've ever been to (in the world). It's hot, humid, extremely dusty, dirty and if you don't have something Angolans want, you'll get discriminated, especially by the rich.
It's also unreasonably expensive! There's no other place where things cost soo much and have basically no quality whatsoever.
There are blackouts, and lack of water averagely every 2 days.
The government built 4 stadiums for ACN 2010 all at once, but won't fix sanitation, electricity and water!
very good to see? the colonial rape keeps on with the chinese and no one of the so called middle-class is able to live in the centre of Luanda! And the poor ones ? what is "good to see" here - I ask you - nothing! A typical case of globalisation, nothing more - nothing less.
no the chinese doesn't have the same arrogance and backing as the europeans. thats the difference here , off course there are problems in angola, but the country is recovering from war. and if they get raped by the chinamen then they deserve it. one can only be fooled once, more then that, is just pure and utterly stupidity.
In eritrea that one dollar a day shit was always said but for example in the conversion to Nakfa I earned three dollars a day but in nakfa it was much more and since prices are low i could afford a nice house a car food everything thats why the poor argument is skewed. The same goes for angola since incomes have risen since 2002 prices have become more expensive but the incomes have matched this rise and people can afford food housing all that its just harder to afford extras
The country is now one of the strongest economies and countries in africa its military military is the second strongest in southern africa after south africa and one of the strongest on the continent. The country is not just growing because of oil but because of strong investment in agriculture. Dos Santos has brought the nation from the end of the civil war in 2002 to one of the most powerful and rich nations in africa besides 2 dollars a day in africa can get you by.
meleszenawi1111: I agree with you bro... I lived and worked in Luanda Angola during 2008-209 and I saw the way they progress ahead. I believe in next 10 - 15 years time they'll be the strongest nation in whole Africa. Of course all credit goes to José Eduardo dos Santos and his Vision. God bless Angola !!
it's not important if you have the best GPB in the world/africa, there's a lot of POOR people living in that country. they should focus on that: fighting against POVERTY.
I'm from Angola. Everybody wants money, and instead of "investing" in the country, there's millions of dollars that are thrown away, or just put in their pockets. We need more time to create qualified people who can manage and control all the cash and development "flow". Instead of this poverty, we WILL be at the top. Angola forever. We only need a couple of years to change it. Trust me.
EddyNicolay: Believe me Angola is on the Right Track and I'm confident one day you'll lead to whole continent. Trust me José Eduardo dos Santos has great vision for his country, please don't listen to the people who want Angola not to progress.
chine is takin over ur ass tho..... they are there to do a damn job.... they will get paid 4 what they do..... u talkin as if we they gonna own us n we shud do what they say.... china aint takin over shit but ur unfact ass... they are there to make a product and in the process they get paid and is 4 the bebefit of Luanda and the specific company...
Not really. Yes, they do have some Portuguese people (less than 2% of the population) but the vast majority of them left at the start of the Civil War and now that the war is over not many of them are returning, though some are.
It's sucks how many in the world think, " the problem with Africa is all those Africans". And so they rape the countries of their oil, resources, and charge it back to the people high prices in their OWN LAND, and they get away with it. Someone out there HAS to see how wrong that is....
It is sad to see that portugueses who ransacked ,raped ,killed for centuries in angola are back again.People like the Queen Nzinga,Neto fought in vain! But Godwill all these african slaves and their white masters will be destroyed
In my country there is a big discrepancy in terms of finacial resources. just few people enjoy this wealth, while the majority suffering with starveness and lack of sanitation, i feel so sorry. I live in UK now i am online investor and i dont think i go back soon to my country.
Believe me, these lexury houses, villas and the kids of the filthy rich will not last that long because the majority are in dire situation, while the few elite, specially governmentall personals are looting the natural resources of the Angola people. I only wish that all that benefit from this robbery have a painful and tragic death. Dont feel sorry for them, these are the people who indulge in the best and testiest food while their poor fellow countryman dies of hunger and preventable disease.
Monaco, my bloodclaat! Angola is a prime example of an elite working for their own pecuniary gain at the expense of the masses. The West is paid off through petrol deals so the majority suffer through hunger, dirty water, lack of sanitation. Merda mesmo!
The oil is new, and it will benefit the entire country in the long run, lest they go the Nigeria way. Even if they do, the population will be better off than they are now. Those new homes are not going to just foreigners.

The government built 4 stadiums for ACN 2010 all at once, but won't fix sanitation, electricity and water!

good to see after centuries of colonial-rape...very good to see
feyzu66 2 years ago
very good to see? the colonial rape keeps on with the chinese and no one of the so called middle-class is able to live in the centre of Luanda! And the poor ones ? what is "good to see" here - I ask you - nothing! A typical case of globalisation, nothing more - nothing less.
MitgliedDesSystems 2 years ago
no the chinese doesn't have the same arrogance and backing as the europeans. thats the difference here , off course there are problems in angola, but the country is recovering from war. and if they get raped by the chinamen then they deserve it. one can only be fooled once, more then that, is just pure and utterly stupidity.

The prices for those pieces of shit houses will inevitably and predictably lead to a housing crash.

What to expect from one of the world's leading cleptocracies?
There's always fresh money to be wasted. Way to go Dos Santos family!!
HumungousPT 2 years ago

LuciDreaMingPOwer 2 years ago

Honestly
In my country there is a big discrepancy in terms of finacial resources. just few people enjoy this wealth, while the majority suffering with starveness and lack of sanitation, i feel so sorry. I live in UK now i am online investor and i dont think i go back soon to my country.
laton0 3 years ago
Believe me, these lexury houses, villas and the kids of the filthy rich will not last that long because the majority are in dire situation, while the few elite, specially governmentall personals are looting the natural resources of the Angola people. I only wish that all that benefit from this robbery have a painful and tragic death. Dont feel sorry for them, these are the people who indulge in the best and testiest food while their poor fellow countryman dies of hunger and preventable disease.
TheUsuallSuspect 3 years ago
Monaco, my bloodclaat! Angola is a prime example of an elite working for their own pecuniary gain at the expense of the masses. The West is paid off through petrol deals so the majority suffer through hunger, dirty water, lack of sanitation. Merda mesmo!

What a load of shit this report is.
Do they expect immediate wealth for everybody?
The oil is new, and it will benefit the entire country in the long run, lest they go the Nigeria way. Even if they do, the population will be better off than they are now. Those new homes are not going to just foreigners.
