  • I want more.

  • El maestro!!! directo desde LAGC

  • A very clear explanation.Well done! Thank you very much!

  • This is a very good, instructive video. Thank you.

  • i tried and this kind of destroyes your finger when you do it on a westernguitar

  • For all of these critics who don't know who this guy is... It's William Kanengiser of the Grammy winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, meaning I wouldn't criticize him if I knew what was best. Not to mention he teaches guitar at the University of Southern California (USC Thornton) so yeah...

  • oh man this is really sore

  • thanks a lot. this is very helpful. it takes a lotta practising though. i practise throughout the video n now i'm typing this comment with my sore hand.

  • great video- eloquent, clear descriptions. Thank you!

  • Thank you :)

  • Thank you, I've been practicing one of the techniques now for about 2 weeks, and I've mastered it pretty well.

  • where an i get your book and dvd

  • @dumb7890 william kanengeiser effortless guitar.

  • lol @ 2:01 : woops ! i forgot how to play . oh well , at least i have a nice suit .

  • Do you move your wrist more, or your fingers?

  • @mcrkid22

    Generally, it's your fingers.

  • @cabagecookie Dammit.

I've spent my entire 6 years of guitar learning how to play with a pick.

    Back to square one...

  • @mcrkid22 Lol.... I know the feeling. Classical guitar is almost another instrument. The scales are set up differently, you use the chords differently, the way you hold it, the way you pluck, your hand is used differently on the fret board, and just about everything else. The only thing that classical gituar has in common with acoustic guitar is... they're both called guitar playing.

I will never forget my first classical guitar lessons. I said the exact same thing you did over and over.

  • He looks like Screech from Saved by the Bell!! HAHAHA!!!

  • I'm Studing the Sevillana! This help me a lot!!!

  • thank you

  • great lesson

  • Только Мастер может объяснить вот так все предельно ясно ))

  • Great stuff. It helps for instrumentating for guitar too. Thank you!

  • I cant get my son-of -a-bitch anular finger to strum like that. Yet. Im gonna practice until i nail the Rasgueado though cause it sounds awesome, and is hugely important in playing flamenco

  • awesome! thanks!

  • Thank you sir

  • intelligent person!

    well done man!!!

  • Me encanta el video. Parece mentira que el unico video que he visto en youtube enseñando los rasgueados en condiciones sea de un señor que habla en ingles. Muchas Gracias por el aporte,

  • The last example is of particular difficulty.... it takes alot of dexterity

  • I've been using something like this without me knowing it had a name, haha. Great video.

  • Rather useful video!

  • I used to have this video, but I don't know where the fuck it went. It's too bad too, because it's a good video.

  • very helpful

  • thank you very much, your manner of explaining this is a great help.

  • This guitarist is Bill Kanengiser, who was with the LA Guitar Quartet before going solo. You might enjoy hearing him play classical guitar, Mozart's Turkish March, for example - incredibly difficult - or his original compositions. He's one of the most accomplished classical guitarists in the world.

  • Your right. He also played all the classical pieces in the blues film "crossroads" which has got some immense guitar solo's in it.

  • People that are listening to this, like I just have just done by accident. This fellow is not very good with his strumming technique (rasqueado). Trust me on this. He is a Pepe Romero groupie. Go to a flamenco website, don't listen to a bad classical guitarist like this young kid. More to follow.... I promise

  • This is a good video. This is a great guitarist. Bestevaar is the worstevaar opinion I have ever seen. Why don't you go blow Sabicas.

  • cbss5000

You must be an English Major.

  • he explains it well ...for beginners ...don't be too critic

  • content and pedagogy progresio, are good.please ad some vidéo's

  • finally a video wich explains clearly how to do this damn rasgueado (second one). I've seen it so many times but never knew it's done. thank u man!!

  • very good

  • Clear video, good close up of what you are doing! This will be a big help! Any cool chord patters that will sound good with these, would be appreciated!

    thanks again!

  • thanks man!!!!! that really helped!!! =D!

  • What a great video! Thank you for sharing it with us!

  • weird, its like playing backwards strumming!
