@fahad100 - Urdu (not Hindi) speaking culture or otherwise known as Mahajir culture had its own vices and sets of problems. Beverly Nichols wrote in his book Verdict on India that he found the highest concentration of misery in India (this is pre-partition). He had spent time in central India which was the home of the so called Urdu culture. It was destroyed because it did not fit with the rest of Pakistan's culture especially punjabi culture. Don't shed tears, that culture is better dead.

Very good to know that Deeba is alive and fine. The other day I also saw an interview of Zeba Ji (wife of Mohammad Ali).

I think I saw them together in a film "Riwaj", a long time ago in which Deeba sang the song "Jo Hona Tha, woh Ho Bhi Chuka, Ab kayoon aansoo baha pagli". ( Not sure if the lyrics were exactly the same). Deeba was a good film actress at one time. Then, slowly slowly, the film industry deteriorated.
