My issue with it has never been about terrorism or about being suspicious of people who have illegally entered Australia, but this. To get here they have gone on long journeys passing through many countries on the way where they are safe, ie Indonesia where they get on the boats to come here. The only reason they continue onwards to Aus is for the economical benefits, so they are no longer refugees or asylum seekers and they are trying to skip the process that legitimate applicants must use.
