XP is the best Windows OS out. I Have a laptop with Windows 7, and if the new products had drivers for XP (they should), my laptop would be running XP. But I also have a Mac and it is better than any Windows.
I wonder why a lot of people has a lot of hatred against Vista? I have a Vista Business on my laptop. And for me it is a way more better than XP for sure. And with regards to performance, as long as you have at least 2 GB RAM and 2GHZ Dual Core Processor then everything should be smooth. If you wanted to make it faster, just disable Superfetch and Indexing options and you are good to go. Also you should have at least 7200 RPM HDD. Vista is not bad after all.
My view on this is that both OSX and Win have their uses. Both can do the same things just in a different way. Both companies have designed their Operating Systems around different principles and both have made mistakes along the way. Just because you use one OS doesn't make it better than another and I applaud those that realize this.

Vista is easier than xp when it comes to putting it on bootcamp. Watch a youtube video that teaches you how to put it on bootcamp rather than doing it yourself.
im pretty sure you can dual boot any Mac OS onto a windows platform with this program called Boot Camp. There are other programs like it you just have to search for legitimate ones.

2.) The "switching" is done through a program called Boot Camp. NO, Apple does not include or give you a version of Windows to go with it... (common sense people)

We can't run Mac OS X because MAC OS X is proprietary. It is your damn OS that is proprietary, not the PC.

2) will it work with the new windows vista
3) can you just switch back and forth between windows and mac? because i would like to be able to play games on windows then make media on mac

1) get bootcamp from the apple store.
2) windows vista will work but theres driver problems so you cant play games
3)yea you can but..i think they have some isues with gaming. go to the apple website and look it up.

Okay... for all the noobs out there:
1.) Get a mac
2.) The "switching" is done through a program called Boot Camp. NO, Apple does not include or give you a version of Windows to go with it... (common sense people)
3.) The benefits of running windows on your mac are enormous. I do music and composing... I have certain programs worth a couple grand that I can only work on mac or windows. For me to be able to switch between the two is a time/money/life/creativity saver.

possibly because the 5% of the computer market the use macs are either:
A: Incapable of making viruses that target Macs
-or-
B: It wouldn't be worth it because, Macs suck.
So all you Mac using faggots that say "Windows gets viruses", that could perhaps be because THE MAJORITY OF THE PC MARKET IS WINDOWS.

One reason is because they have a unix kernel which is much more secure and faster than the XP kernel. There might be 100 viruses made for mac and only 5 can get in the system. Mac OS X also has a virus protection system aside from Unix i think.

Pretty sure Bill Gates is the richest man IN THE WORLD...and he makes $900,000 each year...he may not make the best operating system, but it is damn good...i would like to see you make your own operating system (he dropped out of college to start some *project* with his friends) and it made him the richest man in the world but it isnt his fault that your PC's come preloaded with sample crap that you will never use, it is the companies who you buy the PC from that does all of that.
